Although it is a guest house for women, the owner is a man. I felt a little uncomfortable about that, but he was very polite. This time I only stayed for a very simple stay, arriving at 11pm (after checking in early) and leaving after 6am, so I was very grateful that I was given a room with a washroom. However, there was a lot of light coming in from the window without curtains (frosted glass with a Showa pattern), so I had to sleep with an eye mask on. There was an air conditioner in the room so it wasn't cold, but my throat felt dry even when I was wearing a mask, so it might be a good idea to keep a wet bath towel. It's located in a quiet residential area, and if you drive by car, you'll have to drive on a fairly narrow road, which can be a bit nerve-wracking.It was about a 10 minute walk to Yamato Yagi Station. Since it was a weekday, there were several people commuting, so I didn't think I would get lost (though it was really scary at night). I thought the view of the stream from the bridge along the way must be beautiful in spring.I was given a coupon that could be used within the prefecture, but I was disappointed that I couldn't use it, but I highly recommend it as an accommodation for your Nara trip.

When I returned home, my parents' house was too small, so I stayed there as a place for my family to stay. Although it is located in a quiet residential area, the station is surprisingly close (6-7 minutes walk for adults). Basically, it's only for women, but the room (Japanese-style room) on the first floor can accommodate a family, and it's the perfect size for four people, so it's nice to be able to relax. It was very helpful that breakfast was prepared simply and carefully, including for the children. I think I'll try using it again next time.

It's a small, clean and homely inn, and the breakfast is delicious, making it perfect for solo female travelers. The Balinese-style interior matches the Japanese house surprisingly well, making it a comfortable place to stay.

I regularly go to Nara by myself, and I use this place often because the building is new, the facilities are clean, and I can stay comfortably. For breakfast, we had crispy bread from the locally popular Kamepan. …
