A hot spring inn located in Akayu Onsen. The rooms and facilities are old, but the prices are reasonable. …

[June 2024 single use]I came to Akayu Onsen from Obanazawa City.I chose this inn because it had high reviews and the hot springs were unlimited. It included two meals, but it was cheap.Access takes about 25 minutes on foot. It's not too far to walk, but it's quite difficult if you have big luggage. (Many roads)Also, Akayu Onsen is located in the middle of town, so it is in a residential area. It's strange. The room I used was on the second floor by stairs.Since I was traveling alone, I was responsible for carrying my own luggage, but it was quite difficult. There was WiFi in the room, and I was able to spend my time without any inconvenience, such as the washroom, washing machine, TV, and safe.Dinner was set up on the table to some extent, and meat and rice were brought to you once you were seated. I was grateful that guests and staff did not meet face-to-face as much as possible. Also, the hot springs felt nice. Was it a little hot? There was a wide selection of shampoo and body soap!

I used it for lunch and a bath during my company's bus hike. There were two baths, one for the shower and one for the shower, but one of them didn't have hot water. The bathtub was fairly large, but having only one place to wash your body was inconvenient for large groups. The lunch meal was normal, but each item was brought out one by one (it took a long time for each item to be brought out), so the rice and miso soup were the last to go.😣If you're having a sleepover meal, you might drink beer. I understand that the rice and miso soup are the last, but the rice and miso soup are the last for a lunch meal⤵️The food was delicious, but I think the seasoning goes well with the white rice. Since they knew we were coming, I wanted them to lay everything out on the table without going through any trouble. The last meal that came out was a grilled rice ball💦I thought it wouldn't be strange if it came out first. Therefore, I gave it a low rating. (The photo of the bath is taken from the website)

The attractive feature is the free-flowing hot spring water with Yunohana that is available 24 hours a day. Yamagata gets cold in the morning and evening, so we recommend bathing in the morning and evening.

I used it for a business trip. The equipment is a little old, but it's not a concern. This time I stayed without meals, but there were ramen and yakitori restaurants nearby so I didn't have to worry about eating. There is a cute dog in the lobby, so you will be relieved.

The hot water from the faucet in the bathroom was a little lukewarm, but the hot spring was hot enough to warm my body. It was old-fashioned and clean. The food was great, Louis and the staff were warm and welcoming. I would like to use this hotel again while sightseeing in Nanyo City.
