A long-established inn located in Onmi Onsen, Tsuruoka City. The exterior gives you a sense of history and elegance. I used it for a day trip bath. Bathing fee 600 yen. …

I used it while touring the roadside stations in Yamagata. This is a 3-story wooden inn with a Showa retro feel, built in 1954. There are 7 guest rooms. It seems like we're the only ones this time. The room is a Showa retro style room. A toilet is included. The room was very clean.Key in the sliding door? I was surprised🤓It seems to be a family business and the food is very delicious. If I have a chance, I will use it again.

I decided to stay at this inn because a registered YouTuber posted a video of this inn and it looked very attractive. When I actually stayed at the inn, it was even better than the video and even better than I expected.First of all, even though the food is a standard plan, there is a lot of fresh sashimi, and the tempura is freshly fried and amazing.Another thing that I personally liked was that the stewed food was seasoned with a slightly sweet flavor. It was rustic in a good way, with a nostalgic flavor, but it wasn't overly sweet, and had a good amount of seasoning, so I felt like I was a professional. It's a warm dish that makes you feel the meticulous handiwork of a good old ryokan. Also, why are there sausages served at breakfast? That's what I thought, but when I tried it, I was convinced that the rice was delicious.Actually, rice and sausage go well together.Next, the bath is a real hot spring with 100% natural hot spring water that will warm you from the core of your body. The water has a well-balanced quality that is gentle on the skin, yet gives you a strong hot spring feeling.Considering the capacity of the inn, the size of the bathtub was just right, and it was the perfect size considering that the hot water would often overflow and be replaced with fresh water. And the guest room.Speaking of old, this is the best room for people who like old, but tasteful rooms. The design is really wonderful, and you can experience the good old Japanese Japanese room. What's even more amazing is that the guest rooms are equipped with washlet toilets, Wi-Fi routers, and the latest air conditioners, and the futon mattresses and pillows are also of high quality, providing uncompromising comfort. .I felt the inn's seriousness and hospitality.Lastly, although the ryokan does not have an elevator or an open-air bath, we were able to stay there for a reasonable price.Considering the quality of the food, the quality of the hot springs, and the quality of the rooms, the cost performance is the best, so the lack of an elevator or open-air bath is not a negative at all.Although it is a small inn run by a family, it has a lot of potential as an inn, and above all, I was impressed by the family's polite and detailed attention and warm personality. This is a ryokan that I can really recommend.

Exactly what I look for in rural Japan, a family-run traditional ryokan hotel, in a classic old building, with a built-in onsen spa. They were so nice, and made an extra effort to communicate with me by speaking into a translator app and showing me the text.

I received it during my trip to Tohoku. The inn is a historical inn located near the hot spring town and morning market. The room was 6 tatami mats in size, with a washroom and toilet, and was spacious enough for me to relax. The bath is fed by sodium, calcium chloride, and sulfate springs, and is said to have a heat-retaining and moisturizing effect. The water was hot, but very pleasant. Dinner was served in the room, and we had seafood and mountain dishes. Everything was delicious, including fresh seasonal sashimi, grilled sea bream, and wild vegetable tempura. Breakfast was served in the large hall and I was full. This was my second time at Atsumi Onsen and my first time staying there, but I had a pleasant time. If I have another chance, I will send it to you.

It is located on the main street of Onmi Onsen, and the parking lot is across the street, making it easy to find.I used the day trip bath. 600 yen. I was impressed by how well the staff guided me. I feel nostalgic about the creaking hallways. The changing room is fully equipped with lockers, scales, fans, full-length mirrors, disposable brushes, razors, etc.Because Karan is old, it takes quite a while to get hot water (it seems only on the men's side), but I appreciate that. They use pretty good shampoo and conditioner, and they also have shaving gel, so I can feel that they put a lot of effort into their service. The hot water is a little hot, but the water that comes out to lower the temperature is incredibly strong, so it's not a problem lol.I think it's a very nice inn and bathhouse (^▽^)

I used it on a solo trip in March 2024 and will visit again.A quaint wooden inn with slightly hot spring water flowing directly from the source. The spring quality is Na/Ca/chloride/sulfate spring, a salt hot spring. The seafood-based dinner, such as sashimi, is very delicious and goes well with alcohol.Although many hot springs have large facilities, you can enjoy the quality of the spring water and the relaxing environment better at a ryokan.

I traveled alone for one night in late February 2024.All the meals were delicious and the portions were appropriate. Also, the hot spring water in the bath made my skin silky smooth. I took a bath three times. The young husband and his wife were very nice and I was able to spend a comfortable time there. On the way home, even though it was raining, he went out of his way outside to see me off. This is an inn that I would definitely like to visit again. I recommend it to everyone.

Is there any other ryokan that is this warm? My heart is warmed by the hospitality I receive from my entire family. Even though it feels like an old inn, it also feels nostalgic. Good hot springs, delicious food, and soft and warm hospitality. I was able to spend such a wonderful time in Yamagata and I am so grateful.
