The facility is old, and the windows in the rooms are covered with vinyl tape on every corner, probably to protect them from the wind. The rooftop open-air bath is large enough for one person to take a relaxing bath (you don't want to bathe with other people). The food was country cuisine and I couldn't believe it was made by a chef (the only thing that was delicious was the imoni). In particular, the fish was grilled with miso (why is saltwater fish so cheap in the mountains?), and the river fish that came out was twice-fried sweetfish, which was not in season and was hard and small, making it feel like you were eating the bones. The only other thing I stayed at was mushrooms, so it wasn't a cost-effective accommodation. The name value of Hijiori Onsen is good, but it wouldn't have Google★4‥3.

The room, food, hot springs, and customer service were all good. I was able to fully enjoy Hijiori Onsen. This is an inn that I would like to stay at again. There was only one complaint.I stayed there in the summer and didn't want to take my sweat-stained clothes home, so I thought there was a laundry room so I thought I'd wash it, but when I opened the dryer door, it was covered in dust. Please clean it. Are there fewer users? It was a shame because the rooms, hallways, and changing rooms were clean.2024.9.28 Revisited. Thank you for your help. This time too, each dish was delicious and a feast for the eyes.

It is located at the back of several hot spring inns along the banks of the Dozan River from Prefectural Route 57.It had been raining for the past few days, so the water in the Dozan River was high and flowing fast, so it was pretty impressive. The 5-story building has a spacious entrance and a relaxing atmosphere.(parking)Approximately 4 cars can be parked in the space in front of the entrance.(meal)It was a delicious and gentle meal with a focus on local ingredients. The seasoning was exquisite, even things I had never eaten before, such as local tofu, Yamagata snow pork, and wild vegetables.(hot spring)It seems that the temperature of the hot spring gushing out from Hijiori Onsen is adjusted using underground water. The water is slightly cloudy and odorless, but it feels like it's going deep into your body. You can take a bath from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and you can take a bath at any other time, even in the middle of the night, so it was a true hot spring experience. It takes about 2-3 minutes to leisurely walk to the nearby public bathhouse ``Uenoyu'', and guests can receive a discount coupon from the accommodation that reduces the bathing fee, which is normally 400 yen, to 100 yen. There is no washing area, but you can spend a luxurious time.We received information that there was a morning market nearby starting at 6:30 a.m., so the whole family was able to enjoy it.I was able to spend a meaningful hot spring life thanks to the kindness of all the staff. It was truly a blissful time.

On an early summer evening, the refreshing mountain breeze and the negative ions from Hijiori Dam feel great. It is a place with exceptionally good air, water, and hot springs, an abundance of mountain delicacies, and a friendly staff that will make you feel at ease. Although the building shows its age, the quality of the hot springs was very good and I was able to spend a pleasant time there. (The illumination of Hijiori Dam at night was impressive in a way that cannot be seen at an amusement park.)
