A pioneer in Shonai as a farm guesthouse restaurant.Because Shonai is home to an abundance of ingredients and a diverse food culture, we value the food and lifestyle that has been passed down from generation to generation, and pass it on to future generations.Restaurants can be roughly divided into large chain stores and privately run shops in the town.In most cases, ingredients and semi-finished products are purchased from central kitchens, wholesalers, supermarkets, etc., and then prepared and served.A restaurant like Chikoiken, where most of the ingredients used are harvested from home-grown crops, areEven within the prefecture, which is blessed with a beautiful natural environment, there are only a few shops in each region (apart from soba restaurants). There's no TV, radio, or even a clock here. Because we are always bound by them,The owner's wish is for you to relax and not worry about anything when you're here. The dishes served change seasonally. Considering the style of this store, this is quite natural. That is why it is closed during the winter season from December to February. Several side dishes and small side dishes are prepared using locally sourced ingredients. Of course, it is a gentle country dish that is free of additives and preservatives.Nothing more, nothing less. just…Connecting life means cherishing the ingredients grown and harvested locally, how they are made, the people who make them, and the land, and passing them on to future generations. As the seasons change, the years repeatI can't help but think about the people who have lived in the Shonai area and will continue to live there.

Used for lunch, not for overnight stay. I made a reservation the day before. There is a parking lot just east of the store. I walked through a narrow path lined with peaches and various trees to reach the store. Probably because it's a weekday, it's reserved.``You have a reservation, right? Please wait a moment,'' he says, offering you some tea. It's slightly sweet and delicious. Is it not just regular tea, but something like Kawaraketsumei? The menu seems to be only 1,320 yen omakase, so without ordering anything, I went straight to the back and started cooking. I heard it was a farmer's dish, but it smells like fish...The dish that came out was one soup and three side dishes plus four small bowls. It's a real treat that you can't find these days.First, I was amazed when I sipped the miso soup, I was astonished when I ate the rice topped with perilla seeds, and I ate the eggplant...Things that should be things you eat every day are completely different. How delicious are you guys? The smell of the fish was that of herring. This herring is delicious again, and I wonder how I can make it into such a wonderful side...I really want to drink it as a side dish.Frozen tofu, dried daikon radish, burdock root, and other things that are supposed to be ordinary are incredibly delicious. I devoured it in no time. When I told her that I wanted to eat it every day, she said, ``You should move here.''He said, ``We'll have a bigger feast in the evening, so please come and stay the night,'' so I decided to stay the night next time. Since there is a winter break, I think I'll try to go there just before that, when I'm a newbie.

【postscript】Revisited. A beauty that never changes. In the midst of a rush to raise prices, they are working hard on their prices.A rustic farm restaurant. However, the interior has been tastefully renovated and is sophisticated. When you sit down, your food is served without you having to take an order. It looks like a simple country dish, but if you were to do a blind test, you might not be able to tell the difference between the elegant seasoning of the simmered dishes and the perfect amount of heat. There are many small bowls, but all of them are tasteful.Your bill is also reasonable.Thank you for your continued support and stay healthy.

I went there to eat twice with a friend from Taiwan. I was worried whether it would suit the tastes of Taiwanese people, but everyone was happy and found it delicious.

The・It's ``country'' home cooking, so I think everyone's tastes will be different. The flavor is a little different from the Japanese set meals that usually come to mind.I enjoyed it, but my husband and children didn't seem to like it and could barely eat it. (I don't like herring)The food is carefully prepared and beautifully presented. The appearance of the room is quiet and has a great atmosphere, with the sound of birds chirping and running water. It's a healing space. There was no menu, and it seemed that the set meal of the day was fixed.I was a little nervous because I didn't know the price since I walked in on a walk-in, but it was 1,320 yen per person.

What an amazing place. I stayed here overnight to experience the farm-stay and the food. The home has been in the family for several generations and is surrounded by their many crops of pears, apples, and persimmons, amongst others. The house is very well designed and feels like a home but also makes you feel welcome as a visitor. Within minutes of arrival, I no longer felt like a visitor, but like family. The guest house is quite large, very well kept up, and comfortable in every way. This is where I enjoyed the best meal of my two-week visit to Japan. Better than any restaurant I visited, the food nourished my soul and my appetite. I spoke extensively with the owner, who also does farming, cooking, and is an amazing artist. If I fully outlined my experience here, I would have to write a short essay. I hope to spend time here with her again.

I used it for lunch. It's the best😍The food, the hostess, the building, the interior, the atmosphere, everything is beautiful. It shows that it has been well taken care of.The food is very delicious and I want to go there often.Cats sometimes come to visit the store. On the day I visited, two cats came to play with me, and one of them started playing with me after I finished eating, and was very friendly and cute. The parking lot is right next to the store entrance.
