First visit on December 26, 2023As a solo traveler, I stayed one night with breakfast included, but dinner was not included in my accommodation plan, so I used Soba Ougi. The room, public bath, other facilities, drinks, and food were all excellent. The cost performance is also very good, with a perfect 5 star rating. From the 26th to the 27th, when I was there, there was so much snow and wind that people in Asahikawa were bored, and the snowy scenery that I can't see in Chiba Prefecture, where I live, made it feel very surreal.(As a side note, the flight that was supposed to return to Haneda Airport on the night of the 27th was canceled due to heavy snow.)In particular, the soba noodles made with buckwheat flour from Horokanai that we had for dinner were the best!It was so delicious that I was moved from the bottom of my heart to the point where I wondered, ``What on earth was the soba I've eaten all my life?'' ^^~♪I really want to go to Asahikawa for this soba and say, ``I'm looking for soba from Ogishoen.'' I'd like to take a line from Ayako Miura's novel ``Endless Hill.''The structure of the inn is that there is an entrance and reception on the first floor, a souvenir corner next to it, a soba fan that also serves as a dining area for guests, a banquet hall, and a rest area.Newspapers and free coffee are available in the rest area after breakfast. There is a large public bath on the 2nd floor, and guest rooms on the 3rd and 4th floors, and each floor can be accessed by stairs or elevator. As far as I can see on the official website, all the rooms look like Japanese-style rooms. The room I stayed in was the most standard room, with a TV, refrigerator, and air purifier installed in the room. The building was equipped with Wi-Fi, so I was able to connect to the internet without any problems. There are electrical outlets in the room, but no USB ports.I had a very comfortable stay without any inconvenience, but I think people will have different opinions about things like the room door not locking automatically and the lockers in the public bath changing room not locking. There is a safe in your room, so it is safer to leave your valuables in the safe or take them out when you leave your room. The toilet in the room is equipped with a toilet seat that flushes with warm water. If you are coming by car, there are 70 free parking spaces available. The shuttle service was for 2 or more people, so I took the Dohoku bus route 630 from the 1-jo 7-chome bus stop (near Asahikawa station) and bus stop 11.The fare is 260 yen one way, and only local transportation IC cards can be used.(It looks like Suica and PASMO will be available in 2024.)If you get off at Ogishoen-mae bus stop, it will be right in front of you.I was able to pay for my stay with a credit card, but I couldn't use a credit card to eat and drink at Soba Ougi.Return visit from October 1st to 3rd, 2024The soba I ate at Soba Ougi last time (last December) was so delicious that I couldn't forget it, so I decided to stay overnight on a 3-day, 2-night trip to soba restaurants during the new soba season. This time, I planned to go to a different soba restaurant except for breakfast at the hotel, and I decided to eat Soba Ougi on the night of the 2nd.We started with beer and edamame, enjoyed sake with carpaccio, and ended with a large serving of tempura.First of all, I tried it without adding it to the soup, and the aroma of the new soba noodles was irresistible.Last time it was from Horokanai, but this time it was from Etanbetsu. After all, my impression from last time was not wrong. There were a total of four soba restaurants that I visited on this soba restaurant trip.``Yukiya'' near Asahikawa Station (night on the 1st), ``Hachiemon'' in Horokanai (daytime on the 2nd), ``Soba Ogi'' here (night on the 2nd), and ``Korai'' in Wakan (3rd). day and day).I tried all the new soba noodles, and this one from Soba Ougi was by far the best.Just because the ingredients are good doesn't necessarily mean that the soba will be delicious.Grind it, beat it, cut it, boil it, rinse it with cold water...I was once again impressed by the result of all the steps involved. There are many elements to soba that you can enjoy, not just the taste of the ingredients that you feel with your tongue, but also the way it goes down your throat and the aroma, all of which make it the perfect soba. However, the ordering method was different from last time, and it was now ordered using a smartphone. It probably reduces the burden on the restaurant side, but the system is a little unfamiliar to the Showa generation, where they have to look for what they want on the menu on the table and then look for it again on their smartphone screen. It was a shame. One of the fun ways to communicate at a restaurant is to verbally order directly to the staff...I was also happy to be able to pay by credit card this time.

2024-09-08I've been thinking of coming here, but I've never been before, but I decided to go to Hatsumatsu.Since I arrived before 4 o'clock, it cost 900 yen, and with the JAF discount I got 100 yen off, making it 800 yen.Since it was a Sunday afternoon, I thought there would be a lot of people, but I only saw 4 people in total. The sauna is good, the cold bath is good, the spring water is good, and although it is small, there is almost infinity in the open air, so I am very satisfied. The facility is just as good as Manyo-no-Yu, only smaller. The only drawback is that there is no filter for the hot water in the open-air bath, and there is so much pollen and dirt floating around that I don't feel like taking a bath.

It's a nice inn where the food is very delicious, including local vegetables and fish.Breakfast is not buffet style either, so you can enjoy your meal in peace. If you are looking for a calm accommodation with a well-kept garden, this is definitely recommended.I was very satisfied with choosing this as my last hotel on my Hokkaido trip.

This is a very warm hot spring hotel. The plan includes breakfast and dinner for three days and two nights. The room is clean and the sound insulation is very good. The dinner is Kaiseki cuisine with different dishes. The friendly greetings and the service attitude of all the staff are the same. Superb 👍! The parking lot is large and convenient for parking. This is my only choice for my next visit to Asahikawa:)

This is a hot spring Japanese-style inn located in Takasagodai.Parking is available in front of the building. There is also a shrine within the parking lot. There is a reception desk immediately after entering the building. This time I was able to take a day trip to the hot springs, and they gave me very kind information and a little tour of Asahikawa. The large public bath is located on the second floor after going down the hallway.Along the way, there is a courtyard with a very beautiful view, which is soothing. You can relax in the large communal bath with an indoor bath, sauna, and open-air bath. There were six washrooms. The provided shampoo, conditioner, and body soap were very comfortable to use and were also sold at the shop. There were also chairs and mats for children in the bath.
