[First visit in May 2024]Pay at checkout.Credit cards are accepted.I paid with an AMEX card.【exterior】The exterior looks old, but it has been renovated and is beautiful.【room】1st floor main building YakamiThis is a Japanese-style room with 8 tatami mats, washstand, and washlet toilet. It was a calming Japanese-Western room with all walls painted with diatomaceous earth, and we could see that they had tried to make good use of the space by creating partitions between the Western-style room, Japanese-style room, and hallway.[Amenity]Was it a bit difficult to operate the TV?【bath】It's as expected and I have no complaints.I was able to use the private open-air bath all day long, so I lost track of how many times I was in the hot springs.【meal】It was just the right amount for a couple in their 50s.I added 2 glasses of local sake, Shichikanuma, for 1,500 yen, and it was delicious.【lobby】It was great to see my husband's special items lined up.On the way home, my husband, wife, and young husband (probably) greeted me with smiles and I went home feeling good.Another commenter mentioned that you can bring your dog, so I would definitely like to visit again.

I was looking for a ryokan that allowed dogs, and decided to stay with Mr. Shoen.Apparently the inn also has a dog, and they were very kind to our dog.In addition to lodging, we also had to use the hotel as a venue for meetings, which may have been a bit of a stretch, but they kindly accommodated us.It was a great memory.

The owner's carefully selected furnishings and the atmosphere inside the hotel are different from other accommodations. The food, ingredients, and seasoning were good, and the children were able to try their hand at everything. The facility is located in nature, and the sounds of frogs that I often heard at my grandfather's house in the countryside have become nostalgic background music. I think it would be a good idea to use it as a cozy inn where two adults can relax.

I wanted to soak in a hot spring and relax, so I decided on one of the many ryokans based on the atmosphere! As soon as I arrived, I found myself at an inn with a really nice atmosphere. The atmosphere is calm and the food is really delicious, all of which are 3 stars. The room is clean and every corner is thoroughly cleaned.I have stayed at many ryokan inns, but it was a very memorable trip that I will never forget.I would like to visit again on our anniversary.thank you very much!

I stayed in a room that was like a raised warehouse (I thought, what is this when I saw it on the internet?). It was nice to be at a hot spring inn that was different from the usual, with beds forcibly set up in a raised warehouse and a private bath for those staying there.

I stopped by this inn after visiting Izumo Taisha Shrine and Susa Shrine as a New Year's visit, and the Ancient Izumo History Museum as a preliminary study. As we are involved in the tourism business, we have stayed in various areas from high-priced to low-priced hotels, but this was the most memorable and special experience we had. This time we stayed at Kenbu no Sato no Miyadokoro [Apartment: Ancient Wind Palace]. It was truly amazing to see the buildings that the owner had studied history and visited various places to plan. The interior was spacious and clean, making for a comfortable stay. In addition to the building we stayed in, we were able to experience a special space and time that reminded us of ancient life, harmonizing with the landscape itself, such as the Uyatoben building on stilts and the pit-style building. As for the baths, there are two types of private baths available, and you can relax and enjoy the luxurious hot springs that flow directly from the source without any addition of water, heating, or circulation. It is said that this hot spring is fed directly from the source, and the owner adjusts the temperature by adjusting the amount of water from the source according to the temperature of the day, and the owner takes care of the water himself. I was there.Make a reservation for your meal at Jomon no Mai, where you can experience ancient food. I was able to enjoy delicate, high-quality, concept-based dishes that took a lot of time. Seasonings such as salt and mash made by the owner. I was able to feel that they are very particular about their products, such as the wildflowers they harvest themselves depending on the season. As for breakfast, I was able to enjoy each and every elaborate dish. The level of hospitality of the husband, his wife, the young husband, and the staff was also very high, and I was able to feel the hospitality with a human touch.I enjoyed talking with the host, who is full of artistic sensibilities such as building plans, cooking, painting, and sculpture, and was one of the factors that made this stay a special experience. When you travel to Izumo, you will definitely be able to experience Japanese mythology and history more deeply by staying at this inn and tasting ancient food. I think it's different from the commonly talked about luxurious buildings and luxurious meals, but this is where we felt the most Japan while traveling and staying in Japan, and where the lodging and meals themselves were engraved in our memories as an experience. It goes without saying that this inn is one of the best inns in Japan, and we recommend this inn to those who have experienced staying in a variety of inns. This is the inn and place you should go to now. I can strongly recommend it.
