Beautiful hotel in the up and coming area of Pererenan. Lots of amazing and exciting new developments in the area, not to mention some fantastic restaurants! Easily walkable to Echo beach and La Brisa Sunday Market.The hotel staff are incredibly hospitable, warm and make your stay a special experience. Filipa was fantastic and makes sure to interact with all the guests and gives superb recommendations.Breakfast was epic, great options for veggie/vegan and gluten free. The chocolate cake and the pancakes are an absolute must!The room was spacious and clean with a large window and door to allow for lots of light. The bed was firm but surprisingly comfortable with a great selection of pillows. The outdoor bathroom was lovely although somewhat overlooked by taller buildings in the far distance, perhaps an obscuring pulldown blind instead of a clear one might provide some reassuring privacy if they were to continue development closer to the hotel.The staff really do take the upmost care and attention to detail when it came to ensuring the pool area and general maintenance of the hotel were pristine. The pool is a wonderful little oasis to come back and relax in. With the development of the local area there was some low level noise but nothing that we were particularly bothered about. We heard dogs barking and bikes passing more so that any construction noise which was great.We loved our two night stay here to kick off our honeymoon in bali and would absolutely return in the future. Thank you so much ❤️

We were welcomed and treated like family in July 2024. The owners and staff are fantastic. The decor is superb and we feel like taking a little of everything home. We brought 2 pool chairs at an excellent price and they will be our best memories of this little oasis.

We had a wonderful and much too short stay at Amar . This place is like a little paradise in a quiet yet central area of Canggu. The decoration is beautiful, breakfast is delicious and it is just a few minutes walking distance to Echo Beach and La Brisa. The whole team is incredibly kind, helpful and attentive. Filipa the owner was extremely generous to us, sharing many recommendations not only during our stay but afterwards too when we reached out to ask where to go in other locations around Bali. One of our regrets this trip is to have stayed only 2 days at Amar. But we will be back and next time we will stay longer. Thank you for everything again Filipa!

We spent 5 nights at Amar and had a really good time. The staff was exceptionally friendly, especially Tia was super nice!! The complete place was super clean and tidy and there was complimentary tea and coffee all day. The hotel had a water filter system which allowed to use water from the tub for brushing teeth, for example. It also gave us a safer feeling since we traveled with our two little daughters.When our younger daughter turned three, the hotel prepared chocolate cake and everybody sang for her which she really enjoyed. All in all, the hotel is a total recommendation (although there could be one or two more breakfast options). However, we didn’t like the area of Canggu since it is totally crowded and there is construction work going on EVERYWHERE. Although we knew that it’s a touristy area we were still surprised by its extent.

I recently stayed at Amar for 5 nights & had the most exceptional stay. Filipa and all the staff are so kind & warm, the service was incredible. A 3 course freshly cooked breakfast was included each day & the best way to start the day - fresh fruit, daily fresh juice, coconut yoghurt, granola, eggs, toast, pancakes - the works!What is great the hotel has a filtered plumbing system so you can drink the water from the taps & brush your teeth normally.This hotel really felt like home & in such a great location within walking distance to the beach front, great cafes, shops, fitness studios.The room was stunning & a great size for 2 people, we had a pool front room and loved it.I can’t wait to come back!! Thank you to the whole team for your kindness & hospitality during our stay.

I stayed at Amar for four days with my teen son and we had a fabulous time.OVERALLA beautiful, small hotel with brilliant service.FOODThe substantial breakfasts are excellent - house made everything with clean and local ingredients.STAFFFilipa is a master of making recommendations and they never disappointed.The staff are so friendly and attentive. My son was sick and they made him some plain food and fresh ginger tea. Very caring.LOCATIONAmar is located walking distance to many restaurants and stops, and is very close to the beach.We did a silversmithing class not far away and there is a pottery class in the same street.FACILITIESThe pool and garden Is lovely.Rooms are spacious, clean and beautifully decorated.The bathrooms are open air and well designed.Also notable is that the whole hotel is on a water filtration system. This was very handy. We could brush our teeth from the tap and even drink the tap water. I drank it each day without problem.I recommend Amar very highly. It is a unique and lovely place.
