The host is an old man who is very kind and enthusiastic. He will arrive at the bus station in advance to wait for transfer to the accommodation. If time permits, you can also ask the host to take you to Nakao Station for a ride back to Iiyama. Breakfast and dinner must be reserved 24 hours in advance. If you have a hot spring bath, you can You can stay in the hot spring until 10 pm. It is only a 4-minute walk from the entrance of the ski resort Karazawa. The burger restaurant nearby is delicious. There is a souvenir shop next to it that is good value for money. It is a 6-minute walk from Nakao Station. The disadvantage is that the room is relatively soundproof. Poor, will stay again next time

There are many kinds of food and it is delicious.Nakao-no-Yu, an outdoor bath, is nearby, and Nakao-no-Yu is nice because it's not so crowded. The facilities in the building were well-equipped, and we were able to use the large hall on the first floor for an evening social gathering, which was nice because it had tatami mats and chairs.

Our stay at Kadowakikan was a great start to our trip in Japan. Our host, Kadowaki San, was extremely gracious and helpful. He always went above and beyond to help us, assisting with ski hiring and lift passes, to avoiding the tourist trap restaurants. The pre-booked dinner was a delicious and very welcomed after the long journey from Tokyo. The hotel, although having strong 70's vibes, keeps to its Japanese authenticity. As well as, features an amazing onsen, perfect after along day of skiing.Would stay again.

A really wonderful place to stay!! Our hosts are so helpful and considerate. Kadowaki went out of his way to pick us up at the bus stop and helped us as much as possible every day. We stayed for 6 nights and it was ideal for along stay. There is an in-house onsen we made use of everyday, a real asset in the snow! The in-house dinner was amazing, a wide range delicious traditional food! Our rooms had amazing views of the mountains and were very comfortable and warm. I highly recommend staying here when you visit Nazawa-onsen.

Despite the language barrier, he always went out of his way to assist us in finding whatever we needed. We pre-booked dinner there on our first night, and it was beyond our expectations. Varied, plentiful and delicious, highly recommend doing at least once.Turnover service in our room was also swift and efficient.Only a short walk to the nearest chairlift.Would book again.

The room is spacious, the view is great, and the comfortable hot springs are great for healing your body and mind after skiing. The location is a 2-minute walk from the free ski resort shuttle bus, and if you are going to the ski resort, the stop sign is considered to be the first few stops on the entire route, and you will have a seat on the bus. The boss is very kind. He provides a connection from the bus stop to the hotel, and also introduces delicious restaurants nearby. It's great. I will want to go there again.

This was by far one of my best stays in Japan. The hosts were incredibly sweet and helpful, definitely the highlight of the place. Breakfast was filling and delicious. The rooms were cosy, with a comfy bed and well heated. Although the hotel is not in the town centre, it is easy to reach with just a 10 minute walk; there are plenty of restaurants around the area, a big convenience store and a public onsen. The view from the rooms is also beautiful. I cannot recommend this hotel more, the hosts went the extra mile to make us feel comfortable and I would definitely want to go back.

The best ryokan we stayed at in Japan. The owner was the kindest man, helping us book a taxi to our next destination, accommodating with breakfast and being super helpful with any questions we had. The rooms were spacious and had a beautiful view on the mountains. The hotel is a 10min walk to the centre, which is nice since you get to explore less touristy restaurants. And the hotel is a 5min walk to the slopes. Would 100% recommend staying here, and we regretted not having stayed longer.
