I used it for a day trip bath. It's a clean bathroom. The open-air bath is a stylish glass-walled attached room, and although it is small, you can see the Northern Alps in the distance. The rest area is an open terrace overlooking the Northern Alps, equipped with binoculars and a telescope, and is designed for relaxation.1,500 yen including soft drink and towel. It would be nice if there was a small glass beer service.

I used it in August. The area around Lotus Pond was sweating hot and crowded with students on a training camp, but this inn at 1500m above sea level, where we took two gondolas, was a cool and quiet escape from the heat.I was able to relax with the heartfelt hospitality of the owner and his wife, even though I kept my distance. As others have written, the room, view, facilities, food, and hot springs were perfect. The fresh highland vegetables, Daio Iwa fish, and homemade cheesecake were delicious! The books in the lounge are wonderful. And the professional-grade pressed flower paintings by the proprietress are truly impressive.Everything was more satisfying than the price. It was a great decision to choose this one from the many hotels in Shiga Kogen. The gondola station and bus stop are also nearby, making it easy to access.

My first impression was that the front desk was dark, so I didn't feel welcomed.Energy saving is important, but I would like the lights to be bright and not turn off when welcoming guests. There were many situations where I was in trouble because there were no instructions on how to use the facilities and equipment. The room was very comfortable and the fact that it had a massage machine was a plus.I felt like they used good quality futons that were comfortable to sleep on.The meal was delicious.I stayed in a special room!It was a great memory.

Day trip bathing available on the official website 13:00-16:00 (1,500 yen with towel and drink)It becameWhen I checked on the phone, I was told that day trip bathing starts at 2:00 pm, but when I arrived, I found that the sauna and free drinks only started at 3:00 pm.There was no explanation about the drinks at the reception, and there were free drinks on the spot.A very confusing drink machineIf you are having troubleIf it suddenly comes out and you only need one cup, you can use salt.I just wanted to get some water and coffeeIf you do not want to welcome day trip bathersI thought I should quit. There are no cold drinks, only coffee and tea from the machine. This hotel is an old inn that has recently been renovated with only the entrance and lobby renovated. It was a shame that the bathroom looked old.The towel is as smooth as a hand towel. It was a cost-effective bath with just one item.

Did the staff tell you what to do when you told them that you couldn't park in the parking lot of Hatsubo due to deep snow? I was asked to wait while the snow was removed. As I was waiting, a car from Hotel Higashidate came, got out of the car, and asked me to move out of the way, slamming the car door shut with a strong bang.Everything around me was completely white, and I couldn't tell what was in the way. When I asked the driver of Hotel Higashidate his name, he replied, Takebushi, and he seemed to get angry again.Snow removal is kinder.

I had a wonderful stay here. It is very quiet and comfortable, and the hosts are very generous and accommodating people. The food is outstanding! It is true ski in ski out. I had a special room, but I would be okay with the other rooms as well. The special rooms have comfortable beds and lovely private onsens, and private little dining rooms- which I liked. And Netflix! I would stay here again for sure. Just be aware, there are limited buses getting here if you don’t have a car, but its worth it. Very special

It feels a bit like a hidden gem. I didn't have high expectations for the hot springs as they were colorless, but when I entered, I noticed a slight sulfur smell and white hot water flowers floating in the water, and it was a nice hot spring. The view from the room is a wonderful place where you can sit and watch the clouds go by in the morning. I would definitely like to visit again and again in different seasons!

The hot springs were very nice. However, the bathtub is a bit small. That's what I thought. The room had a large window and a great view♥️Although the autumn leaves were late in the season, the whiteness of the white birch trees stood out. And the many mountains that can be seen in the distance...I was able to truly escape from reality❓. The food is delicious and filling! However, the service at check-in and check-out was a bit disappointing.

The room was very spacious and the view was great. I thought it was a little weird to have a rice scoop inside the rice.It wasn't anything special, so it was just delicious.I was surprised to find a stink bug in my room before I knew it, but it can't be helped since it's a mountain. There wasn't a foot mat in the public bath, so I guess I forgot it because there weren't many people there.Since it is eco-friendly, it was a little creepy that the electricity in the public bath was turned off in places and it became dark.
