Absolutely wonderful way to spend a week in the snow. Very clean, great breakfast, easy walk to bottom lifts. Loved the little bath. Lovely hosts. I will say the traditional bed on the floor is a bit of a challenge when you're not used to it but I probably should have asked for more layers.

We spent a wonderful week with family at Kirakuso. This hostel is run by a lovely family who will do everything possible to make your stay enjoyable. If you like luxury and flashy atmospheres, this place is not for you. It is a simple place, without frills but which has everything you need: very comfortable bedding, spacious room, wardrobe for storing clothes, washing/drying service for clothes, delicious and varied breakfast, room for hanging out and drying clothes. ski equipment, onsen and showers in the hostel.We feel a real sense of hospitality both from the Japanese family and from the very kind young English-speaking woman who helps with breakfasts.The hostel is located a 5-minute walk from the Karasawa bus stop which takes you to the Nagasaka gondola and a few minutes from a very pleasant Onsen and several restaurants. Perfect geographical location.We are already dreaming of coming back. We warmly recommend this address.

It's a homely inn where you can have a fun time as the name suggests. Dinner and breakfast the next day were both delicious and the volume was more than I could eat by myself, so I was full and satisfied. The innkeeper's personality was It's a very good inn❗When I come to Nozawa Onsen, I would like to stay here❗

Very homely atmosphereWhen you enter the inn, you will be greeted by a common room with a hearth.There was so much food that I couldn't even finish it!You can prepare dishes that take time and effort.The rooms are clean and relaxing.A must-see for skiers and snowboarders!It is close to the lift station, and there is a dry room in the basement of the inn that is heated 24 hours a day.It's in a location where you can stay at the inn and wander around Nozawa Onsen town, so I highly recommend it ^_^

It has a very homely and warm atmosphere. The rooms are kept clean, and you can tell that they want to provide hospitality to their customers. It's close to the slopes, making it perfect for skiing and snowboarding trips. If you have any questions about where to stay in Nozawa Onsen, this is my number one recommendation.

It's a family run business and they were very accommodating with everything.The room had air conditioning and heating (there was also a kotatsu), and the futon was thick, so I was able to spend the year-end and New Year holidays comfortably! There is no refrigerator, but there is a shared kitchen.You can also use the washing machine for free, which is helpful! !Breakfast is Western-style, with scrambled eggs, fried eggs, and other side dishes, and the main dish is pancakes and French toast, which change daily. Miso soup and rice are also available separately, so you can choose according to your mood. However, the inconvenient point is that there are only two showers in the baths for both men and women, and one of them cannot adjust the temperature. (very cold or super hot)It is conveniently located just 2-3 minutes walk from the free bus stop (Karasawa bus stop) to Nagasaka slope!
