A "cider barn" usually refers to a rustic place or facility where cider is made, stored, or sold. "Barn" means "barn" and is often found in areas where apple orchards are common. They range from small, traditional barns to larger, more commercial barns.Cider Barn &more serves fresh, local cider (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic), serves tastings, and even serves as a venue for farm-to-table dining experiences. And it embraces a farm and country aesthetic, featuring wooden beams, cozy décor, and a welcoming atmosphere. Featuring outdoor seating with views of the surrounding area, it offers the perfect place to relax and enjoy a cider amidst beautiful scenery.

This was my first stay after coming to Iida. I came here for work, but I didn't have a place to stay, so I made a reservation with some skepticism, but the facilities were fine and I was able to stay there! It has been open for less than a year, so it feels like a new building and the facilities are clean. Since they're an apple farmer, they also have cider, so it's fine if you don't like the homely feel. There is no hot spring, so it might be a good place to do various activities. Why not ask around when you stay?

Exceptional stay at this beautiful new property! Everything is so clean and has been made to a very high specification. The rooms are a nice size with great facilities for showers and toilet. The rooms are modern Japanese style. The communal area/cafe is very nice too and the property is set within beautiful grounds overlooking the city of Iida. We really enjoyed these views and making the most of the countryside, and experiencing apple farming and trying the delicious produce of the Cider Barn. Our hosts Yukiko and Ken were wonderful, very helpful and friendly and gave us good advice. They also prepared some lovely meals for us and we sampled their delicious cider and apple juice. Overall we had an excellent stay here and we recommend it highly to anyone who would like to experience a lesser-explored, scenic part of Japan!

I couldn't recommend highly enough! This is a fantastic place for a family or group holiday and as a place to experience real Japan and it's natural environment. We probably had the best experience as we travelled as a large group and had the entire place to ourselves. All areas are beautifully arranged and maintained, and there's a strong sense of traditional Japanese living combined with a very modern style. This does include sleeping on futons and tatami mattresses which some may want to be aware of. While it was very nice to have all of the shared spaces to ourselves, the environment was so friendly and relaxing that I can see it being a great experience also for smaller groups or individuals. The hosts were amazingly welcoming and accommodating, and went out of their way at all times to ensure our comfort and to offer us different ways to enjoy Nagano. The kids had a great time picking the delicious produce of the farm, and we got loads of great advice on how to experience nagano's spectacular mountains, forests and rivers, as well as local cultural events. The location is very scenic but bear in mind you will need to have access to a car. It isn't a hassle to stay in the evening however as there is plenty of delicious local cider as well as a full bar. Bringing your own food and drink is also welcome , and we were cooked a fantastic meal on the outside porch looking over the valley to the mountains on the other side.

Recommended for families with children. The owner was very kind. The vegetables were delicious. We also recommend comparing cider drinks. The scenery is good and you can overlook Iida City. The agricultural experience at the Shimeji factory was also very educational. The breakfast tomatoes, asparagus, and thick shimeji mushrooms were all delicious. Iida City's zoo and art museum were both great. Don't forget the grilled meat. I would like to go to Iida again and visit your accommodation.

Some places are a little hard to understand, are they really there? However, thanks to that, the scenery was outstanding and there weren't many buildings around, so I was able to spend a peaceful time. It was a little disappointing that you couldn't drink alcohol in your room, but you can bring your own alcohol and you can keep it chilled. It was really fun to relax in the lobby and have a campfire set up at night. The rice was also very delicious! I thought it might be a little too much for women, but it might not be enough for adult men. I don't know. The whole inn was filled with the smell of wood, and it was a very nice inn. The managers were also very kind and I was really grateful to them for taking such good care of me. The apple cider I had as an aperitif was very delicious!
