■Walking Nakasendo with all friendsI walked 226km in 11 days from Shimosuwa-juku to Tarui Tarui.Today, I stayed at an old Japanese-style inn in Tarui-juku for 4,500 yen without meals. That's right, I'll have to buy my own dinner and breakfast! This is a ryokan that will probably receive mixed reviews. The atmosphere is more like a boarding house for students from the Showa era than an inn.The old lady who runs the store is said to be reaching the end of her life soon, but she is very friendly and caring and has a cute smile.By the way, the futon is an old-fashioned cotton futon, so it's heavy.Even in late March, the mornings can be cold. There is an air conditioner, but it is also old and makes a lot of noise. The room does not have a lock inside. Also, once you start looking at the details, you can't say that the cleaning is perfect, but if you think, ``I came to stay at my grandmother's house,'' it's nothing. If you're concerned about taking a bath, it's okay to skip it for a night or so.Even the toilets are a blessing when you think about traveling to India. The room on the first floor where the old lady was waiting had an anime-style illustration on it, and it was very beautiful.I couldn't help but ask, ``Did a manga artist come incognito?'' I was told that his grandchild was drawn.Apparently it's so beautiful that it's a waste to put it away, so they stick it up.If you want to go around the city after checking out, why don't you leave your luggage there? She was so kind to me and lent me an electric anchor even though it was cold at night! The good thing about Tsuruya Ryokan is definitely the grandmother's personality.I do my best to welcome customers. It was an inn where you could enjoy such consideration.Tomorrow we will finally pass through Sekigahara!

This is an inn that retains an old-fashioned atmosphere. The ``home-cooked food'' prepared by the wife was very delicious, and the dog, who loves customers, yelled, ``Don't go home!'' I want to stay here again.
