We chose REGALI VILLAS in Canggu for our four-night stay in Bali and we were wrong. We were looking for a Balinese villa-style accommodation with a private pool and REGALI VILLAS certainly is. I must admit that these villas must have been exceptional in their day, as the design and quality of the original materials suggest so, but the passing of the years and the practically zero investment in maintenance made by the owners mean that these villas are not in their best condition by any means. If you look at the photos circulating on the networks and on their website, it seems that we are looking at a luxury accommodation, but this is far from the case. The numerous comments highlighting the poor condition of the facilities confirm this.Despite their good location, the most positive thing, close to the beach, the villas are frankly run down. The thatched roofs should be replaced, there were lights that didn't work, some lamps in very poor condition should be replaced, the shower taps were in poor condition, the sun loungers by the pool were in very poor condition and did not invite use and needed replacing, the bathtub was not to be used, with fungus stains, etc.Other aspects that disappointed us were the breakfasts, served in the villas, very scarce and repetitive, served almost cold, and the poor cleanliness. The pool, which already needs emptying and a thorough cleaning, was not cleaned of leaves and insects during our entire stay. On the ceiling of the room there was a gecko-type lizard that frequently defecated on the floor of the room, a circumstance that we brought to the attention of reception. In the kitchen, outdoors, bags of food, such as potato chips, nuts, biscuits, etc., disappeared. We found out that it was not a person who had access to the villa, but rather an animal that wandered around the outdoor areas of the villa at night. The only good thing is that the price of the villas was not high. The same villas in a proper state of repair would surely be much more expensive. But where does this situation lead if the owners continue not to invest in the facilities…?In view of all this, my recommendation to the traveller looking for this type of accommodation in Bali is not to be convinced by appearances and price and to look for other Balinese villa-type hotels that, although a little more expensive, are in adequate condition. And do not doubt that there is plenty to choose from.I am sorry to make such a negative review, but we were very disappointed.

Everything was fine, the hot water didn't work but they fixed it quickly…the bed was super comfortable and everything was clean. The breakfast was disastrous, one of the days we ordered it to go and it was horrible….otherwise everything was good and nice.

Having stayed here over the years more than 5 times and loved it, this will be the last time. This hotel needs so much work.Broken toilet seats, stinky drains, to broken tiles, and much more, the place is literally falling apart. If you do choose to stay here, they will be very quick to inform you of their linen policy. This is clearly their last ditch to try and scam you out of money.Sad that they don’t want to spend any money on what was once a great place to stay.

Great part of canggu but unfortunately we will not be staying here again. The bathroom is outside and the floor does get dirty- prior to checking out the staff will bring out any dirty towels/linen and interrogate you as to why there are any marks, also noting that during our stay our towels were not changed at all during 4 nights. In the end we were charged 80AUD for a dirty towel, and a marking on a pillow case that was more than likely there prior to our stay. Money grab? This is not our first time staying here and stayed here in the past rebooked as we loved the place but there's no way we will be back after that. Pretty rude if you ask me.

unfortunately would not recommend. stayed back in february - staff were wonderful - very helpful with the laundry service, and the aesthetic of the place was great. wonderful location too. was really excited to come here as i'd never stayed at a villa before and it was meant to be our expensive/nice accommodation before leaving. however, lots of issues with the actual facilities. the bathroom (attached to the bedroom) is not enclosed, there is a empty wall of space meaning LOTS of spiders and bugs get into the actual bedroom. a small amount of this is fine, but there were cockroaches and mosquitos inside the room constantly. bath/shower water was cold, pool had lots of chlorine tablets which made it green and very harsh on skin, included breakfast wasn't nice either so we ended up going externally. again, staff was wonderful this is no reflection on them - but this was unfortunately not an enjoyable experience for us, especially for the price point :(

We booked this hotel again because we spent a few nights here two years ago and even extended our stay during our vacation. Back then we were thrilled by the great location and the luxurious villas with their own pool. That's why we wanted to start our honeymoon with this hotel and informed the hotel in advance that we were coming on our honeymoon. When we arrived after a 26-hour journey, we were really looking forward to the hotel. Unfortunately, everything was different than expected: although the bed was decorated with honeymoon decorations, there was a large, wet spot of mold above the bed and under the air conditioning. As soon as we entered the room we noticed a strong musty smell. We were then able to change rooms to a deluxe room - but only for one night, as the hotel was otherwise fully booked. Unfortunately, in this deluxe room some doors and cabinets as well as bathroom utensils were broken. We then had to immediately worry about finding a new hotel- of course the prices were spontaneously higher. The other 3 nights were canceled, we wanted to get a 50% discount for the one night we slept there for the circumstances, but we were denied.

We stayed in this villa for its location, which is really ideal. Unfortunately this is one of the few positives, with only some of the staff being pleasant, but not all. (Our main reception contact)The breakfast is ridiculously insufficient: a fruit platter consists of four pieces fighting a duel. We also tried the continental breakfasts, but they are far from living up to the standard of the villa. In addition, breakfast served in the room is not always served at the desired time, with a delay of 50 minutes. It's shocking that the food is frozen and the tea was really poor quality. So we had to buy more tea, and there isn't even a kettle in the room. The value for money is excessively expensive compared to the rest of Bali. Additionally, our room was infested with mosquitoes, making our stay uncomfortable. The swimming pool, for its part, is constantly in the shade, no matter the time of day. In terms of cleanliness, you don't have to look in detail, because the room is not always well maintained. We also had problems with reception. Because of my night mask, which stained the sheets (the curtains were not opaque enough), we had to pay 471,900 Indonesian rupiahs (or €28) to replace basic sheets, which corresponds to a quarter of the room rate per night and this is unacceptable. The room price is €120, which is excessive for the service offered. I am shocked to have to pay for a sheet with a stain, especially for an establishment of this standard. In summary, this villa is not worth its price and does not offer the expected comfort. I do not recommend and will not return.
