In conclusion, I highly recommend it.It is quite far from the ruins of Shirakawa-go, and you will have to climb some mountains. I thought they would get a taxi, but they never did, and even when I tried to call one by phone, they refused because it seemed like the distance from Shirakawa-go wasn't worth it.So you have to make sure you know where to go in advance. After spending time at the ruins, we went to a nearby hot spring, bought ingredients for sukiyaki (Hida beef was very delicious...) and alcohol at a supermarket, and walked a long distance using the flashlight on our cell phones in the absence of street lights at night. I walked.I was very tired and complained as I walked, but I was so glad I went! ! ! !The three of us lived in such a large gassho-style cottage and ate Hida beef sukiyaki.I returned on foot the next morning, and the scenery was so beautiful that I got there in no time. I don't think it would have been so painful to walk that distance if it wasn't pitch black at night.

It was a summer weekday and there were no other people there, so I happened to reserve it for myself. It looked quaint from the outside, but the facilities were modern and very nice. If I go to Shirakawago, I will stay here again.

This is a gassho-style house that looks old, but the interior has been renovated, including the plumbing, making it clean and comfortable.
