I used this campsite to tour submerged bridges by motorcycle. There were no guide signs on site, so we had a hard time finding it, but it was a very nice and clean campsite, and you could park your car next to it. It's free! There is a water source (no sink), but there is also a temporary toilet.A gas station and supermarket are also nearby, making it convenient to refuel and procure food (alcohol). It's much better than the poor paid campgrounds. If I ever come to this area, I would definitely like to use it again.*Please take your trash home with you.

24/4/27 ~ 5/5 My 2024GW 8 nights and 9 days Shikoku flow trip (❁´ω`❁)The long-awaited Shimanto River campsite💯A free campsite with a Shikoku-like name that I definitely wanted to stay at😘There's nothing you can't do! A huge campsite as rumored. It's raining in the forecast😂It was dark when I arrived at 7:30pm😂I didn't understand anything so I asked the campers and they told me a lot of things...and we just toasted 😍😍😍I had delicious grilled meat 🤤 Bakatare too 🤤The Shimane campers had a great time talking about their trip to Shimane lolMy wife said I'm going to bed now so please talk to my husband🤣My husband wanted an Africa Twin so I drank it until the date changed😘It was a great camping trip for a traveler💮

You can barely see the Shimanto River.I'm sorry, but even after cleaning, I hesitate to use the toilet because it smells so bad.

This is a free campsite on the riverbed near the mouth of the Shimanto River. Only in the large free site, you can drive your car up to the camp side as long as you follow good manners.During the off-season, you can get accommodation permission even on the same day by calling the contact information on the website (this time it was a weekday in February). There is only one simple toilet. There are no lights, so a lantern is required at night. It also smells pretty good. There is a water supply a little far away, but it is only for cleaning dirt, so it is not suitable for cooking.Overall, it's a campground where you can enjoy some inconvenience. Personally, I like things like that.By the way, the temperature was 2 degrees at dawn on a clear day. It was very warm for a winter camp. As expected from a tropical country.
