The bath was large and the quality of the hot spring water was good, so I was very satisfied. You can see Lake Suwa, but there are big trees, so I wasn't completely satisfied. However, I am very satisfied because it is close to Lake Suwa and the service was good.

As others have said, the street, exterior, and building are very old.Without the sign, it would seem like the building is "closed."When you go up the outside stairs, you can see the velvet front and the retro feeling of the old Showa era.It's full. There is no elevator, and there is a communal washroom on the second floor.It's more like a hostel with private rooms, and the dining room has an old speaker for the in-house broadcast system, which will make you feel depressed about the time you lived in a group on a school trip. I think the toilet in the room is a Western styled version of the Japanese style toilet. Because there is no distance to the wall, I am psychologically driven (lol)However, the cleaning was very good, the sink in the room was new, and the bathroom looked as if it had been renovated. A hot spring with a relaxing feel, and the good news is that you can enter as much as you like 24 hours a day.In this day and age, it might be easier to have a hostess who is neither pushy nor unfriendly.It was pork shabu dinner, but it was a lettuce tower as rumored! I'm full.The number of items for both dinner and breakfast is small, but the rice comes in a jar and you can eat as much as you like. It's really a school trip.The price is less than 8,000 yen per person and includes two meals, so it is recommended for people who want to stay cheap and enjoy hot springs.

It was such a nostalgic inn that I would recommend it be registered as a Showa inn heritage site. Although it was inconvenient as it was a small inn, it was full of emotional atmosphere and made me feel nostalgic.-Although it is very close in a straight line from Kamisuwa Station, there is a considerable difference in elevation, and if you live there, you might be able to use the shortcut local road (stairs), but if you live elsewhere and rely on a navigation system, it will be a long detour. . It was a very steep slope even for a car. The area seems to be a residential area, and there doesn't seem to be any convenience stores, shops, or other inns around the inn.-There are steep stairs from the place facing the road to the first floor where the front desk is located. You will also need to use the stairs to move up and down the building. The room was on the 2nd floor and was actually 3rd floor high. The entrance to the bath is on the second floor, but from there you can go down to the mezzanine floor by a staircase dedicated to the bath. The dining room was also on the second floor. Some parts do not have handrails. It will be difficult to stay unless you are able to walk slowly on your own.The sunset view of Lake Suwa from the room was quite impressive.-Both dinner and breakfast were very delicious and ample amounts were provided. Although it is not luxurious, it is a waste to stay here without meals.There was a sign posted in the cafeteria saying that the rice was produced in Kijimadaira, but the rice grains stood out and it was really delicious and you could eat as many bowls as you want. I prepared the rice myself.-The colorless, transparent, and odorless hot springs are so rich in ingredients that you won't stop sweating even after a short bath, and the men's bath could accommodate about 5 people at a time.-The Japanese-style room was about 6 tatami mats in size with a washbasin and was just the right size for two people. The toilet was a Japanese-style toilet with a simple Western-style toilet seat unit, only a heated toilet seat, and no toilet seat function. The same system was used in the rooms and the shared toilets, without keys. Because the Western-style toilet seat unit is large, the inside of the toilet feels small. I would like to see the toilets renovated if possible. Or, I personally find it easier to use the Japanese style.-Everywhere in the hotel was clean and I didn't feel uncomfortable at all, except for the toilets, so I had a comfortable stay. I can see that it is being used with care. I'm concerned about maintenance and management. For this price, I would like to stay again.thank you very much!

Although the appearance and the room are old, they are clean and not dirty. The food is delicious, and even compared to the beautiful inns on the shores of Lake Suwa, the food is as good and cheap.

A ryokan that is well suited for the adjective "good old days." It has great taste.As everyone has written, the view is very good. You can overlook the city of Suwa and Lake Suwa.I'm glad that the hot springs are open 24 hours a day.If you look at the straight-line distance, it is close to the station, but there is a considerable difference in elevation, so if you have difficulty walking, we do not recommend walking to the inn.Please note that the parking lot is not very large.Also, the futon is thin, so it might be difficult for people with back problems to sleep.

Looks like the Showa era!However, the natural hot springs you can access anytime, the carefully prepared meals, and the old facilities have been renovated and taken care of, making them extremely clean.I think there are a lot of individual differences, but considering the cost performance, I was satisfied and would come back again.
