I discovered this while traveling on the Koshu Highway. If you read the comments section, it seems that road travelers often use it.The words ``Shokoku Traveler Onyadoya Tsuruya'' are written on the front, indicating that it was originally an inn. If you look closely, you'll see a signboard for lectures on the wall, which is a valuable relic.

Used for walking along the old Koshu Kaido road. The location is perfect for walking from Kofu Station to the confluence of the Nakasendo in Shimosuwa in two days and one night.Daiga Harajuku, where Tsuruya Ryokan is located, has been selected as one of Japan's top 100 roads and has a great atmosphere. The train departs from Kofu Station at 9 a.m. and arrives just after 6 a.m. Due to an early departure the next day, breakfast was not included, and the cost for one night and dinner was 7,000 yen. Tempura, sukiyaki, tuna and scallop sashimi, koya tofu, vinegared vegetables, and rice and miso soup. Bottled beer ¥500, 350mL canned beer ¥300.(It's almost the same as the photo posted by someone else for dinner, but the horse sashimi and salt-grilled rainbow trout were not included, so I guess they ordered them as extras or paid a higher price.)The room and toilet are clean and the bath is large. The next day, I safely walked all the way to the junction with Nakasendo in Shimosuwa.Like the previous person, I would like to use it again when returning from the old Koshu Kaido.

Thank you for your help twice while walking on the Koshu Kaido Road.He helped me four years ago on the way from Nihonbashi to Shimo-Suwa, and now he helped me on the way from Shimo-Suwa to Nihonbashi on the recovery route.Since we were the only group staying, we were able to spend a comfortable time without worrying about other guests.Compared to the first time, the food tasted just as good and the volume had increased, making it a very satisfying stay.Photos 1-3 are dinner.Sukiyaki, horse sashimi, sashimi, vinegared dishes, boiled scallops with Koya tofu, tempura, and salt-grilled rainbow trout. The fourth photo is breakfast.Grilled salmon, tamagoyaki, fried eggplant, stewed lotus root with black sesame seeds, natto, aji nori, and pickled vegetables. We want this inn to remain as an oasis for Koshu Kaido walkers forever.
