There are a variety of facilities and things to enjoy at the resort, and there are a variety of restaurants to choose from. The rooms feel a bit old but are clean.

It's no longer Hoshino. Sold with permission to use name only. Furthermore, a Chinese company is reselling it for the second time.Accommodation is a good price, but there is no mineral water in the room, no disposable slippers, only old brown toilet sandals that you would find in a business hotel. You can't adjust the air conditioner yourself, and everything is old. The key wasn't a card, the lock wasn't auto-locked, the light in the bed was almost broken, and the towels were stained. Only the bathroom has been redone. It's inconvenient to go to various places by bus every 15 minutes, and you always have to line up. First of all, even though Kirin no Yu is in Hokkaido, there is no warm indoor bath! There are only cold baths and open-air baths. Even though the hotel TV said it was vacant, when I went there, I was left with nothing. The hair dryer was half broken and only gave cold air. My family told me that I should have taken a bath in my room. Also, it is said that Nininupuri has the most variety of meals, but it is not a big deal. No egg station and low protein. Savings can be seen everywhere. The fat man at the front desk also seemed troublesome when checking in.The president of Hoshino Resorts is a smart guy who advertised the Unkai Terrace and other value-added products to attract customers, but the fact that he continues to use the Hoshino Resorts name even after selling it to a Chinese company is a deliberate attempt to attract guests. To mislead. It's too bad. No wonder it was resold to a Chinese company for the second time. It's crazy that they're still using gondolas from the Alpha Resort days. I wonder if an accident will happen someday. The high accommodation fees are used for facility maintenance and gondola maintenance and inspection, and are not returned to guests. Moreover, Tomamu is inconvenient for sightseeing. School planners planning school trips to places like this should reconsider.

Hoshino's style of renovating a Showa-era resort hotel to match modern times. It's empty compared to Risonare, but the service doesn't even come close to city hotels. Only instant coffee and tea in the room. Cheap glasses and furniture, stains on the sofa, bed making that is not duvet style, tissues are kept in boxes so there is almost no space at times, there seems to be no commercial EV, even after CI time. You can experience things that are not typical of Reiwa, such as linen carts coming on passenger EVs, only air conditioning throughout the building, no air conditioning, peeling walls, long lines for CIs, etc. I think this kind of frank atmosphere makes it easier for families and Chinese people to use it. I think Hoshino's skills are responsible for creating demand for things other than skiing and achieving stable operations even in the summer.

Started staying here pre-Covid and loved it. Sadly, it’s definitely aged over the years, with very dated looking lifts (just 3 for tower 2, serving over 30 floors), dark corridors. This was my first visit post COVID and the first outside of the ski season, and similarly, the service of some of the staff left much to be desired, the worst was which was (as I found out later) the day manager, Mr Kim. When I checked in after a 5 hour drive in the rain from Shiretoko, I’d asked a female staff in my limited Japanese whether the hotel was still offering the accommodation + ski lift package. Unfortunately, the lady serving me wasn’t sure and she went to the back to fetch Mr Kim, who immediately presented a grumpy facade. No greetings, no interaction at all, just made a rude remark about me in Japanese (thinking I don’t understand Japanese, and I have no intention of revealing the controversial remark about me) and went to the backroom again. The flustered lady then told me that there was no discount for ski lifts with the rooms, which I found out later to be true. Right off the bat, I was so turned off by my first interaction with the hotel staff. I wrote a complaint via email and the night manager, Ms Kosaka, contacted me to speak to me about the matter. I appreciated her efforts and I explained that I wanted the hotel (and particularly, a manager) to learn from the experience. Sadly, I did not feel the omotenashi overall.Anyway, I’ve decided that I won’t be back again will be going to Club Med for ski season instead. It’s more expensive but at least I won’t have to bear with crazy long queues at peak season and no seats anywhere

Stayed at Tomamu the Tower I.I was surprised by the number of foreigners. In particular, I had a bad feeling about the uncomfortable feeling of a middle-aged man wandering around the lobby while holding a glass of champagne. When I stood at the front of the check-in line, there were three counters, but the person at one of the counters answered the phone, so as I waited until I was called, a drunk man came to the back of the line. So, hurry up and go to the counter in a loud voice! He was yelling out loud things... I was really disappointed in the poor manners of not being able to wait. After checking in, when I entered the room, I was surprised to see an old room that was not listed on the website. And when I tried to connect to Wi-Fi, there was no free signal. Because of this, I couldn't spend two nights there, so I asked the person in charge to come check on me, and the hallway was connected, but when I closed the door to my room, I couldn't get a signal... I was told that there was nothing I could do at the moment, so if I had to hold out for the night, I would be taken to another room, but when I asked if that would be a good service, I was finally told that they could take me to a maisonette room, and I was told that I would be fine anywhere but here. So I was shown around (I had to wait about 30 minutes before being shown around) and it was a maisonette room with a jacuzzi and sauna. The hotel probably wouldn't complain since they upgraded it, but it's so old and disgusting that I don't even feel like using it, and when I tried to take a shower, there was so much mold in the shower that it was just standing there. I felt really bad because of how small it was.The air conditioning in the room didn't work at all and it was so cold that I caught a cold.I doubt whether the rooms listed on the homepage really exist. Please be prepared that many of the rooms are old.But the room and hotel service was terrible, but the hotel food was good.It was my fault for making the reservation based on the name without researching it carefully, but I thought that if Hoshino Resorts was not involved, I should remove that name.A business hotel would have been much better. Please don't make the mistake of going there.

Terrible air conditioning system and not all of staffs can communicate in English. All of our friends feels so hot in the evening as the air conditioning is controlled by the Central system , which unable to turn down its temperature in October. The responsive staffs bringing in the fan adds one star in the scoring.Views in the visitors lounge is amazing. Suggested to add some signages/ information for hotel guests who would like to have a short hike inside the hotel area.

Thoughts on October 12-14Overall, it was a very good tourist destination.I will leave my personal impressions.・Difficult to adjust the temperature in the guest room...The air conditioner is centrally controlled. I can't even open the window.・I was very satisfied with the meal. I recommend Nininupuri (though I only go to Nininupuri lol)・Recommended since there is no opportunity to ride in a hot air balloon. There's not much information about the location, but if you take the bus to the resort center, you'll be dropped off at the balloon zone. It was around 6:30 and there was a 30 minute wait. We recommend arriving early.・Buggy is very difficult. Also, the location is difficult to find. The reception is next to the store, then gather at the back of Tomamu the Tower (mountain side)・Hot springs are far away and troublesome- Give up on the sea of clouds. Breakfast → Unkai Terrace (for the view) is recommended. The Unkai fans lined up with the intention of standing at the front of the first bus. (A lot of lines)・It's hard to see the bear's claw marks because they aren't on the map, but I found them. Find it yourself. (Photo reference)
