On a certain day (Saturday) September 2024, I used the "TAKIBI site (Rinkan)" for an overnight solo camping trip.By the way, the "Ground site (schoolyard)" next to the gymnasium is "nearby", but it is not "adjacent" but is slightly far away (although it is within a 2-3 minute walk...💦😅)It was still a very hot day during the day, but there was plenty of shade from trees, there were toilets with toilets in the area, and there were two kitchens (one of which had hot water), so it was very comfortable if there was a breeze. Also, by pre-paying with the Nap app, there is no need to check in on-site and you can use the service from 12:00 noon on the same day.On the day, there were only 3 groups, 2 soloists and 1 group, and we were able to park our cars alongside, so the setup was smart. In addition, you can use the hot springs for free at the campground's operator, Rikganji Onsen Hotel Yusato (located in the hot spring town of Tamana City, about 10 minutes by car), so stop by after setting up your tent and work up a sweat. (Return to the site) 🍺 After the bath, the first drink was awesome 😚

Even if you wanted to casually camp here, there were several cars parked at the ruins of the school building, and there was no one to manage it. It seems that the site of the Mitsukawa Elementary School next door has nothing to do with the campsite.*For reservations, you will have to go through the process of making a reservation at Ryuganji Hotel.① Firewood, sawdust, vegetables, etc. are sold unattended inside the ground, but there are only vending machines nearby and no supermarket.②At night, there are few outside lights and it is dark.③Do you think you'll get wet if there's a crosswind? There are three cooking areas.④I heard that you can get a bath ticket at the hotel after checking in? By motorbike, it's about 6 kilometers from here to the hotel, so the water can get cold, especially in the middle of winter.⑤It is possible to stay overnight in a camper van, but there is an additional fee and there is only one car with air conditioning. *There is an outlet nearby.⑥It seems that there are "plates, a tabletop stove, and a barbecue table" that I don't know if I can use freely...I'm not sure if they can be borrowed?⑧The toilets are clean, but you only have to pay in the summer, so I thought it would be convenient to use the pool.

I stayed in a cottage. It said that the barbecue area was in the same place as the people in the next room, but there was no partition and it was very awkward, so I couldn't relax.Although it was April, it was hot because the place was exposed to the western sun. Also, probably because there was a trash can nearby, there were a lot of flies, and they were crawling on the food, which was disgusting. The room was very clean and nice, but the only thing I was disappointed with was the barbecue area. I hope you can take some measures.

This time, my child wanted to play in the gym, so I made a reservation here. This is a valuable campsite as there are very few campsites where you can enter the hot springs for free. The hot spring was an 11 minute drive away.It was cloudy on the day of the reservation and rained the next day. There is a cancellation fee for this, so I decided to just enjoy the day itself. It was raining the next day, so I gave up on staying in a tent. It's easy to spot when you're driving by because there's a Chirumitsu flag hanging out at the entrance. There is another flag posted at the campsite, but the site with the gymnasium is at the entrance with the green building.During check-in hours, there will be a staff member at the parking lot, so just tell them the name you reserved and they will drive you directly to the school grounds. This is a free site with no divisions.Since it was high season, the car was moved to the parking lot after unloading.A tent will be pitched all around the schoolyard, leaving a space in the middle. I thought that if I didn't have a car, I could play ball in the schoolyard, but I decided against it because it would be dangerous. The shade of the trees doesn't seem to drain water very well after rain, so the pegs tend to fall out in some places. It was a little muddy in some places.Depending on the direction of the wind, I could smell the fertilizer coming from the neighboring field. The washing area was clean and felt good. The toilet and shower are opposite the door.It was difficult to use the toilet because the passageway was narrow and there were people waiting to take a shower in the evening, but it was helpful because the toilet had a Western-style faucet. It was a unisex toilet, not a women's one. There was one for men.I looked at the free shower room and it was new and clean.I didn't use it this time, but it seems like it would be nice to use, and I'm glad it's free.I didn't take pictures of each place, but there was a water area next to the dark brown building, and the place looked new and clean overall. The gym is hot on a hot day. This is a gymnasium with the size of one basketball court. You can come and go as you like without making a reservation. Both children and adults play with various toys, so it can be dangerous if you are not careful in the gym.The lights in the gymnasium are not on.We recommend playing before it gets dark. This time, to escape the rain, I cleaned up before dark and went straight to the hot springs without checking out.It was my first time at Tamana Onsen. The parking lot seems to be separated for guests and day visitors, and the hotel staff came out to the parking lot.I entered the room after telling the front desk that I was staying camping. The indoor bath was a good temperature. The hot water temperature in the sleeping bath and the long open-air bath is low.I think there were about 5 showers.Shampoo and body soap were provided. There were 3 hair dryers, 2 fans, and 2 toilets in the changing room.Coffee milk and R-1 were sold in bottles at the vending machine. We just pitched a tarp, lit a bonfire, played a lot, ate camp food, and felt refreshed and satisfied in the hot springs. All trash was taken home.I brought firewood with me, but I didn't know where it was sold. The ash dump was located in the gymnasium. Many campgrounds allow cancellations in the event of rain up to the day before, so I overlooked this when making the reservation, but I'm glad I was able to enjoy it on the day itself.

I used the Takibi site twice in January and February.I used the school site once a few years ago, but unlike that site, it's a calm place surrounded by trees, so I think it's a good site for solo students. It's right next to the road, so the sound of vehicles passing by is a little bothersome, but I don't think it's enough to ruin the atmosphere. The administrators were also very helpful in responding to my inquiries.I will be using this again.

I used the forest site. 1,500 yen including hot spring ticket is cheap. The site is flat and wide, so I think it's good for group camping.
