Very welcoming place. Went to g/f coffee shop. Had two coffees (filter), toast and a toasted chicken sandwich for ¥1,500. Sat at the counter chatting to Mama san in my broken Japanese and her limited English.

Used by 3 friends during Golden Week. I was very satisfied.We rented out a private lodging and cafe on the second floor, and it has almost everything you need (even nail clippers, which I didn't do this time), and you can cook your own meals. There is a sense of home (a sense of security) that you can manage even if you jump in with your clothes on. It looks like it was recently built and is very nice and clean. There are 2 rooms, so you can isolate your roommate who snores a lot! Public baths and restaurants are just a few minutes walk away, making it very convenient. The parking space that could accommodate several cars had a large roof, which was helpful since I was riding a motorcycle. For check-in, you will meet the owner at the inn at the informed arrival time, so if your arrival time changes, it is best to contact us early.I guess it depends on the person, but since it's right next to the elevated JR Beppu Station (behind the station), you might be bothered by the sound of trains arriving and departing in the mornings and evenings (I don't think it bothers me because there aren't as many trains as there are in the Tokyo metropolitan area). (although it didn't happen). You can wash your clothes, but there is a drying rack in the room, but there is no dryer. Depending on the time of year, it may not dry if you stay overnight, so it's best to use a coin laundry near Furo Onsen, which is a few minutes' walk away.

I used the private lodging on the second floor. There was also a washing machine, so I wanted to do laundry even when I was traveling...I was very comfortable as there was detergent and space on the balcony. There are hot spring facilities and restaurants nearby, and the coffee shop on the first floor is run by the owner, and the coffee is delicious and the location is relaxing!

We had lunch.When I entered the store, I thought it was a store for local people, but even as an outsider, I was treated to great customer service. Lunch is a set of pizza, drink, and dessert for 1,200 yen. It was very good value.

There are no words to describe it other than comfortable and excellent.If I were to list too many good points, it would be a long post, so I'll just leave you with three points.The staff (owner)'s response was wonderful.The inside of the store is very clean. Everything from the amenities to the interior design is carefully thought out and beautiful.It was a convenient location to go anywhere. Even though you can walk to the hot springs and the bar area, it's quiet at night.It has a rating of 9.9 on Booking.com, and I think that's accurate.Next time I would like to relax at the cafe and will definitely come back to stay again.

Excellent French toast with salad and homemade tomato soup. Perfect for starting the day, served by the boss herself 😄 Very quiet and cozy atmosphere, decorated with lots of hand-painted works of art. If you like, you can read all the Japanese editions of Elle Gourmet😉
