The owner is nice but we wated for the check in 1.5 hour after 15:00 for some reason.
She tried to force us to eat in her place.
You can't lock the room and there is no privacy there.

This is a very nice gassho-style inn built over 300 years ago, where the mother's personality is outstanding. The food was delicious and the hospitality was excellent, and we didn't have any of the inconveniences that tend to occur at cultural property hotels.If I had to point out the weak points, I would say that it uses kitchen paper instead of tissues, and that the hot water is slow to start flowing. Later, depending on the time? No conditioner or conditioner.It is also not recommended for people who are afraid of insects and old houses.Two toilets for standing urination and two Western-style toilets are located in the same area for both men and women, so if this bothers you, please avoid them.Disposable toothbrush, hair dryer, bath towels for morning and night, face towel, trash can, kitchen paper, toothpaste, tea, sweets (Doburoku rice crackers), body soap, shampoo, yukata, water heater, tea cup, power supply, TV, electric fan, everything. there is.Parking lot is also nearby!They let me use the freezer/refrigerator in the kitchen, and dinner was delicious.There were some lentil dishes for dinner, but I was short on time as I had suddenly asked for accommodation with rice, so I think they were kind enough to increase the number of items.The Hida beef was tender and delicious, and the Hoba-yaki was also delicious!Even if I happened to run out of solid fuel and started trying to start a fire in the hearth next to me, he didn't get mad at me, and if I was having a hard time, he would give me guidance.Unfortunately, it was raining and the charcoal was damp and couldn't be lit.It was delicious and kind, so I washed the dishes and was given coffee in the morning, which is said to lower blood sugar levels.They even told me I could take home face towels in individual plastic bags.The bathtub is also spacious with a wooden bathtub, so two people could take a bath together! We went to Shirakawago without reservations where to sleep. With a map in hand we visited all the possible guesthouses in the town. Although it was Monday, many were closed and did not offer lodging services. Finally we found Yoshiro, a very nice old woman who opened the doors of her original Gassho house to us.The house probably used to be more ready but you can see that Mrs. Yoshiro is older and some spaces are no longer so organized. But it doesn't take away the charm of anything, she is wonderful and sleeping in the beautiful town is a very authentic experience.100% recognition

I stayed for two days from 1/23 to 25 and it was a very happy time. The owner's grandmother was so kind and cute, and the food was delicious. The room was nice and there was kotatsu, so I ate some tangerines and it was so much fun. If I go again in the summer, I will go to Yoshiro.
