We stayed at this hotel for one night on a weekend.Unfortunately we cannot recommend it. Our room consisted of colorfully thrown together pieces of furniture and it smelled musty.The whole house smelled musty. During breakfast the musty smell was so strong that we quickly left the breakfast room.We have nothing against old buildings. However, this hotel did not meet our expectations in any way and every euro for this one night in this hotel was one euro too much.

The accommodation offers a charming stay. At first I was a bit skeptical because of some of the negative reviews here. But you shouldn't let that fool you. The rooms are in a historical style, absolutely hygienic and cozy. The bed and mattress were absolutely okay, I slept through the night. Breakfast with everything you would like to eat in the morning. I can only recommend everyone to give this accommodation a chance, you get more than in any run-of-the-mill hotel. In my opinion, we should also support the small hotels that are very committed to keeping their business running. It's a real challenge in small towns these days.

Like a journey into another time. The whole hotel impresses with small details from the past. Even the walk to the room via the old stairs with heavy carpet made you curious to find out more. The impression continued in the room. If you like that kind of thing, you'll find it here. We thought it was great.It was a nice welcome even though we got there a little early. Comfortable beds, a clean bathroom and a lovingly prepared breakfast buffet where nothing was missing rounded off this lovely weekend. There is also a picturesque backdrop right outside the door.We would love to come back 😇

Hotel with charm😊very nice, friendly and courteous staff, breakfast with the largest fruit table, coffee tastes very good, everything is topped up, rolls, sausage, cheese etc. We had a great view of the city harbor, very quiet at night

An old hotel from the 18th century.Unfortunately, even the rooms, including the equipment, are old.As soon as you enter the room, the smell hits you.The only free electrical outlet is by the door. So if you want to charge your mobile phone, you should have an extension cord with you.The only thing interesting about the hotel is its location on the square, which has a harbor for small boats in the middle. It's very nice here.If you like the romance of the bygone era of the previous century, you will find it here.

Sleep like in a museum. Super friendly there. Nice clean rooms and delicious breakfast. Great location in the nostalgic city center and still very quiet. Thank you for the good service. Also recommended for cyclists, as it has a bicycle garage.

Historic building with old, venerable furnishings. Everything is a bit old. Parking directly in front of the entrance. Large bike barn, but not safe enough for expensive e-bikes

We were there on February 23rd and were first surprised by the warm welcome. We were given room 109. The room was decorated in a baroque style and had charm, and above all it was clean. Despite the single glazing of the windows, the room was cozy and warm, even though there was a lot of snow outside. The breakfast was absolutely rich, varied, with lots of fresh fruit and vegetables, yoghurt and of course various types of sausage and cheese. The service was very attentive to see if there were any further requests. We would like to spend our time there again.

A wonderful old hotel that fits the entire place perfectly. Very nice and friendly staff, both at the reception and at the very rich and beautifully designed breakfast buffet. The rooms are large and bright. History is visible everywhere.We particularly liked the cuddly soft, very comfortable beds. We slept like we were in a castle and woke up very refreshed. All around a really pleasant stay. The hotel stands out very positively from the gray crowd.We would love to come back 👍Thanks so much

An interesting hotel decorated with beautiful old furniture. The beds were pleasantly soft and comfortable. And the breakfast is rich and good. The staff is very friendly and concerned about the well-being of the guests. And liked it a lot.

Great hotel with lots of charm and history in every corner! Great view from the terrace over the harbor of Bad Karlshafen. If you want it quiet you can sit in the beautiful garden. I like coming here.

105€ for a junk room. Windows with single glazing and only one light curtain. Bombs warm in summer. Shower doors are old and don't close. Two-handle mixer in shower and sink. Shower head sprays in all directions. Water in the sink hardly drains. No ventilation in the windowless bathroom. Blessed is the person who uses the toilet first. Door lock all loose and missing screws. Sorry... that's no way to impress guests. The breakfast, however, was great.
