Positive: very friendly staff, clean rooms, nice nostalgic atmosphere in the breakfast area, central location. Very comfortable beds. Safe in the room. Free drinks at reception.WiFi top.Negative: very noisy rooms, both from neighbors next door and above (you can sometimes hear every word) as well as every noise from outside: windows are getting old and some of the room furnishings are very outdated/in need of renovation.Carpeting shows many stains in the room and hallway area, mold formation in the shower/musty smell. Very very low water pressure at the sink and in the shower. Shower head not working. Radiator gurgles in the room. No fridge in the room. The healthy corner at the breakfast buffet has a lot of room for improvement: you could offer more than just three types of muesli, 1x long-life milk, sunflower seeds, banana, apple and kiwi. The furnishings are generally quite outdated, so the value for money is not right

Very nice service at reception. The rooms are quite dated. The carpets and shower curtain seemed a bit dingy. Location is good, unfortunately parking is a bit difficult. The breakfast is very small, “only” vegan and vegetarian toppings.Overall, everything seemed a bit loveless.I wouldn't book it again.

Price/performance is simply very good here. The bed is very good, free water/sparkling water that you can tap yourself in the foyer. Was there in October and can't say what it's like in summer in terms of temperatures. I also don't know if there is air conditioning in the room. Due to the location on a busy street, it is a little louder with the window open, but not so loud that it would be impossible to fall asleep. When the windows are closed, you hear next to nothing.I can't say anything about breakfast either.Parking is a bit difficult because you have to look for it (public parking spaces) and there are none from the hotel itself. But we always found one in the immediate vicinity. These are free between 6 p.m. and 9 a.m.Would stay here again.

This is definitely the most interesting hotel in Kassel – a modernist gem. Some reviewers say that it’s in dire need of a refurbishment, but they’re missing the point. …

Rooms are sufficient, staff friendly and attentive. Coffee and tea free of charge at any time of the day. Breakfast was good but unfortunately one type of sausage.

In the bathroom the soap from the dispenser smelled like sewage. I can honestly say the smell makes you want to throw up, luckily the rest of the soap smelled good. We expected more based on the photos on the website, but we won't be back. There is no main lighting in the room, but there are three ways to turn on the lamp on the table. There is a shelf marked "Minibar", but you won't find a minibar there. It's quite scary to go out on the balcony as these boards don't seem safe on the ground. The carpet is dirty.

What can I say about that ;-)It was beautiful and crazy at the same time.We didn't know anything about the hotel beforehand, e.g. that it will be kept “alive” until it is completely renovated. The carpets in the hallways were dirty, there was mold in the showers, the toilet had a leak and many things in the room didn't work.We were unlucky that the "free" water was not available because the Brita machine was broken (1 evening). On the other hand, it was extremely quaint, rustic and you were in a different era. However, over €170 for 2 nights was far too much. The breakfast was only vegan and it wasn't really clean either. You could see him in the kitchen, where two ladies were half-heartedly washing the dishes.

Ideal for people who like 70s design and art lovers. Rooms have been newly renovated and are large. The service is great. The first drink from the bar is free and then you can decide for yourself what you want to pay for a cola or apple juice. Location is great, but it's on a big street. But not that expensive either. What young people or those young at heart. :)
