Positive: -daily change of towels- the staff took good care of my concerns and was otherwise friendly- There is sufficient parking spaceNegative: - in my room there were silverfish, spiders, woodlice (on the 2nd floor?!) and the squashed remains of mosquitoes from the summer- it was very dusty, especially under the bed and in corners- the bed was too hard for my liking and very narrow (90x 180cm)- the hair dryer smelled like it was about to explode when I used it (I recommend bringing your own)- Breakfast is difficult for vegans, there are only sweet spreads and margarine, but no plant-based milk- one of the beds smelled strongly of urine- the walls are very thin, and some young people probably didn't know how to behave in a hotel in terms of volume, but this problem was solved by the staff.- WiFi was only sufficient at the room window for the use of streaming etc.The price is simply too high.

Yes, how should I describe the hotel. From the reception to the room it felt like an eternity. There is only one goods elevator. The hotel is more frequented by craftsmen. Good accessibility from the motorway

A hotel of average standard but with a beautiful location. The beds and the room itself were ok for transit travelers and for one-night travelers. Great view of Melsungen.During my stay, the furnace broke down and unfortunately the repair time was 4 days, which was a bit slow.Overall, I rate my stay as poor 4.

The staff was attentive and friendly. Therefore at least two stars.Otherwise:Room furnishings look outdatedWalls and doors are extremely noisyBed way too hard for me (but that's probably a matter of taste)WiFi is available, but the speed is hardly sufficient for reading the newspaper in the evening and definitely not for streaming.Cleanliness was okay but not outstanding

I haven't been to the Ibis Melsungen for a long time because it was just an emergency solution for me. Now I can recommend it even less. I don't drink beer, but you can see the broken signs on the tap system and the drinks fridge is also broken. A guest wanted something to drink upon arrival, but apparently went to the supermarket to get something to enjoy a cool drink outside. Apparently you've been waiting for the defective refrigerator to be picked up for a long time. I'm wondering how long it will take until a new refrigerator arrives? There used to be a small bottle of water in the room as a welcome, now only empty glasses.I think there was an advertising sign for the mattresses more than 10 years ago. The sign is now gone, fortunately, otherwise it would be embarrassing. The mattresses, both of them, can now be used as salad bowls because they are completely in the basement. The topper is no longer of any use. Plus point, you can't fall out. In the bathroom, the water drains slowly again, so that you end up standing in a pool of foam. I would like to wash it away, but it would take too long. Dust collects on the edges of the tiles. In one of the two shower towels there were two black long hair, whereas I am a stray blonde. The other had iron/crease creases, so looked unused. The foehn hasn't had a test for a long time. The last BGV A3 test was between 2015 and 2020. In addition, the hair dryer at the back is quite blocked. I didn't want to sacrifice my toothbrush for this. You can no longer call it a hairdryer, but rather an infrared light, because all that comes out is a waft of hot air. After about 1.5 minutes it got too hot and couldn't be switched on anymore. Here, too, I didn't want to wait until it got cold again. The hair is still wet after all.The door to the room is difficult and loud to close, no wonder, the frame has burst open like a sausage.Let's see how breakfast turns out. The new metal bar chairs without cushions didn't look comfortable to say the least. (I tried it, it works, at least you don't get rid of the guests too quickly)PS: A couple walked out of the room in front of me. The door is still open because the door latch doesn't close :DAnd there was a couple at the reception who also had several problems with the shower. The poor ones stay for another 3 days, I doubt that a room change will help ;) they can get mine.I have nothing to complain about the staff. But I've never had it either. Only the IBIS owners could reinvest something.

The rooms are very spacious, and the shower is also a pleasant size. I was less happy with the furnishings of the room, only one chair, no real closet, no refrigerator, no welcome water in the room. Breakfast is okay, juice is even very good. The location to the motorway is good, but walking into the city is difficult because it is relatively steep downhill.
