So not even worth the 1 star! Everything is dirty and used (e.g. dishes still rotting in the sink, the rooms not cleaned, everything full of dust and dirt, the bathroom greasy and sticky), mold and loose cables hanging out everywhere. Everything stinks here...The apartment was never worth the price!! It didn't work at all! My family was spread over 2 levels and it really affected all the rooms!

Room was dirty. The communal kitchen was closed. The shared bathroom, yes, well, the toilet was clean. Shower/bath did not drain and shower head could not be hung. You either have cold water or hot water and there is no option in between.The biggest advantage of this hostel is that you are right in the center.Too expensive for what you get!

The first impression was very nice, the location was really great. We got the key from a really nice and friendly man, but unfortunately our room wasn't ready yet, they said it would still be cleaned even though we were later than our arrival time.After we had seen Kassel and were able to go to our room, we were very shocked. The room was dirty, the beds had stains from the previous one. The kitchen was also super dirty. The bathroom was the highlight - there was no soap, disinfectant or hand wipes, the facilities were simply empty. There were used things from other guests, such as a used toothbrush in the middle of the sink.The neighboring guests were very loud, left their door open and talked loudly and in the end they were even at our door.After all this we left immediately. Unfortunately I can't recommend it to anyone who knows anything about cleanliness and peace.

The hostel is family owned and the the family is very sweet and welcoming. The location is also super central and was very close to a lot of the dokumenta stuff which is a huge plus

Let's start from the negative points:When I read the words 'shared bathroom" and 'hostel" I thought there were multiple showers and WC. This was not the case. There are four rooms so we were 8 or 9 people sharing a single bathroom, which meant long queues in the morning. It was also cleaned only once per day. We stayed 5 nights and our room was not cleaned nor our towels changed. The room is very minimal, not even a drawer available, nor a hairdryer is present in the bathroom. The tariff of 90 euros per night, which is double than the 45 requested after documenta period, is a bit too much for the service provided. The lights of our room didn't work.Then the positive ones:- I loved the position, very central to visit Kassel and Documenta. The room is spacious; internet was not working at first but the manager restarted the router and it was very fast, I could do video calls without issues. The manager was also kind enough to store our luggage before checking and after checkout. A kitchen with oven and microwave is available. A lift brings you to the floor of apartment. Beds are very comfortable. Great communication with the manager.
