Location right next to an Irish pub. And that was it for the positive part of the review. If you prefer non-oriental cuisine or a non-oriental ambience, you've come to the wrong place. Smoking is obviously only prohibited there for guests. The horizontal business is in the immediate vicinity, conveniently directly opposite the health department. Open drug sales in the surrounding area, including in front of the nearby police station. In the hotel you sometimes meet people who you had seen doing shady business on the street not ten minutes before. After all, the hotel obviously offers Asian massages for visiting men. Room...yes...clean and well maintained is different. Not recommended.

My booking was canceled one day before the trip without giving any reason. It is unclear whether from Booking or the hotel. I was able to book again at the same price and thought I got lucky. No. The first evening I slipped in the bathroom and cut my elbow violently and it bled profusely. The shower tray in the shower cubicle is very flat and slippery, there are no handles or anti-slip coating/strips. By the way, it takes a very long time for warm water to come out. Ok, it can happen, I thought. I'm in my mid-30s and this bathroom is really not suitable for pensioners. The worst, however, was on the second night. When we got back to the hotel, we picked up the keys from the night staff. He was barely responsive; We suspect that he was under the influence of intoxicants, his facial expression and his eyes indicated this. In the middle of the night (just before 4am) we were woken up by loud screams. A woman was screaming like crazy, a male voice and loud music could be heard. First of all, it wasn't necessarily the hotel's fault - they were obviously guests. I called for a long time until I reached the night dispatcher. He came up and knocked on the rioting guests, but was completely ignored by them. I called several times, it didn't help. An emergency strategy must be in place for such a case, but the employee was completely lost and useless. In the end I had to call the police. We barely slept that night and it ruined our entire vacation day. But the best came later: neither a proper apology nor compensation nor an offer to check out later came. On the contrary: we still had to pay for the overpriced parking (15€/day, even though I booked with a parking space!!!). When I started to describe the situation and mentioned that the employee was not available at night, the immediate excuse was: "The employee is preparing breakfast." Customer-oriented thinking is a foreign word here! We felt in DANGER here.

A nice hotel in the center of Zeil. There are some very good Turkish restaurants and Spätis around the hotel. The reception at the hotel was neutral, you got your room keys quickly. You quickly notice that this hotel is getting old and that the cleaning staff could definitely be more disciplined. The room was ok so far. Unfortunately the carpet was very stained and not vacuumed properly. Unfortunately, the headboard of the bed was very dusty and covered in lint, not very attractive and absolutely not beneficial for allergy sufferers like us.Without allergy tablets the night would not have been bearable. The bed was a little harder, but that's a matter of taste. The bathroom, however, was very clean! Unfortunately, the water pressure in the shower left a lot to be desired, as did the shower door, which could only be closed after precise balancing.I found it positive that the window front was well insulated; after closing the window, I could hardly hear anything from the city noise directly in front of the house. There is no minibar in the room, but there is a fridge with drinks downstairs at reception. The prices for this are okay. Conclusion: If you are in Frankfurt and need to spend a night comparatively cheaply, this hotel is fine.In my opinion, a lot needs to be improved for a longer stay!

The worst hotel I've stayed in so far!Upon arrival I was “received” by a really VERY unfriendly woman - no hello, nothing. My key was thrown at me and I wanted to bring my suitcase to the room with my cousin who lives in the city - but that didn't happen because we were prevented from doing so by the lady shouting "CAN YOU READ". Then we noticed the sign saying “no visitors allowed” - absolutely disproportionate considering that we would have been down again within 2 minutes. Shortly afterwards I wanted to leave the hotel and was stopped again with the scream “PLEASE STOP READING” - apparently I wasn't even allowed to take my own room key with me (!!!) - I've never seen anything like that. My valuables are in the room and I'm paying for them, so based on what reason do I have to give up my own room key?? I don't have that much trust in the staff. When I returned, another employee handed me the key without asking for my name or ID - anyone can come and say they live in my room... everything was really poorly handled.About the room: It's smelly, in need of renovation, not really clean, there's hair everywhere and a lot of dirt and mold in the shower. Not reasonable. When I came back to the hotel late in the evening, the reception was empty and a young employee sleeping in the dining area looked at me confused - after asking several times, I finally got my key.All in all, below any standard that could even be expected from a hotel. Actually the hotel should be closed.
