Staff really very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself has had better days. The elevator was broken once, but the next day it worked again.Room small but clean, as was the bathroom. Unfortunately, the beds are totally uncomfortably hard and the pillows, well, you can't put any on them either.You have to be lucky to get a parking space. Only a limited number and €14 per day should be stated in advance in the hotel description. But it's better like somewhere on the street.

It is a hotel for cheap accommodation. We received a cheap price through a booking portal.The rooms are technically OK, but they are noisy. When another guest on the floor slammed the door to our room, our room door also rattled. When other guests talked loudly in the hallway at night, we woke up. However, the windows were well soundproof and no noise came through from outside. The staff was friendly. If you want to stay inexpensively in a convenient location, this hotel is good.

It's being renovated now. The reception is now staffed 24 hours a day. For me the location of the hotel is the best.

Great location, friendly staff but the room isn't particularly impressive. It's generally clean but there are several small holes in the bed and curtain, the TV remote control doesn't work, the toilet seat is very loose.

The hotel is in a very old condition, my mattress was only 185cm long with a body length of 190cm, which is not comfortable to sleep there.My towels had holes in them, probably the towels are as old as the interior.

While the rooms are nice enough and clean, the walls appear to be very thin so you hear anything that isn't strictly inside voice level. My first night I first had a door crash shut, and a short while later I had to witness that someone had gotten themselves company one way or another, which is just fantastically horrifying if you're sensitive to that. Also, there is constant thumping in the house from somewhere upstairs until very late in the night. It's currently 20:15 at the time of writing and it's still there. I wanted to turn in early but I guess I'm going to need ear plugs again.Also, when I returned today a man was standing on a balcony audibly spitting down and I wasn't sure if he was going to aim for me. What I mean to say is, the rooms themselves are fine, but the clientel seem less than civilised at least in parts.

A great location for exploring the city and beautiful Bornheim. Simple rooms but good value for money. The hotel's own parking lot is a highlight, even if it is a bit expensive.

We stayed at Am Zoo hotel for 3 nights and unfortunately it did not meet our expectations. Although the location of the hotel is good, unfortunately the hotel staff was very rude and unhelpful. This had a negative impact on our accommodation experience at the hotel. The internet connection was not working properly. Nowadays this creates a huge disadvantage in terms of business and communication. The price we paid was definitely not worth the service we received. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone.

I am extremely disappointed with my recent stay at the Hotel am Zoo in Frankfurt. The hotel staff was simply disgusting. Upon arrival we were faced with rudeness and a complete lack of professionalism. We had to wait over an hour to receive our room keys despite pre-booking. The reception staff were completely incompetent and unwilling to help, making us feel like we were only bothering them. There were no apologies or attempts to correct the situation on their part. This is completely unacceptable for a hotel that positions itself as a place with a high level of service. I don't recommend anyone to stay here unless you want to ruin your vacation.

A good location, near the zoo.€14 for a parking spot for 1 night is expensive, but they close the entrance, so I'd say it is a secured parking.Rooms were really good.Breakfast was not very good. €12 for a basic breakfast.Reception was good and very helpfull.I do recommend this hotel,

I made a booking through Booking.com. At the reception a family was already fighting with the receptionist, who despite everything was very patient. But a booking remained missing even though it was there in black and white. The invoice recipient could no longer be changed for me, even though I had made the booking and only entered the name of a guest. Then they said I had booked through Expedia, which I had never had before. The guest's name could not be changed either. The room remained empty, I didn't receive an invoice, but I paid.

Hotel AM Zoo is very good. But I would advise any person with a disability to check first before booking a room as the Hotel is not fully accessible.

Before leaving this review I read a few of the negative reviews of others. Some had decent things to say and some were just rude and expecting 5 star treatment in a 3 star place. This is a no frills hotel. You get what you pay for. Nothing fancy. And that is okay!! These hotels rooms are basic not for hanging out in all day. There are lots of things to do around the hotel so go explore!! Hotel am zoo is in a very convenient location. Close to coffee shops and bakeries and a good diverse selection of restaurants. Also, Our hotel room was clean and simply put together, it feels very safe here.The staff at the front desk are very kind and courteous. They were extremely helpful to me when I was trying to figure out the train system and by a ticket to Aachen. I butchered many German words (my pronunciation is horrible) but they were very patient with me and figured out what I needed.If you want 5 star treatment go to a five star hotel! If you are looking for just a place to stay so you can explore the city Hotel am zoo is a great option. Definitely recommend for the traveler needing a no frills but safe, quiet and clean place. 🤗
