A GREAT place to spend a nice free time and waste away excess money... This is exactly in my case, but the guy on the machine next to me won 1000e and put in maybe 100. But remember that these machines are set up so that they give back no more than 25%. ...And with an honest owner...Regards...

To me, this is the hostel of warnings and Red flags:Good aspect of it is that the receptionists are kind and nice, but all the rest is poorly managed. The position is not the Hostel's fault but, as mentioned by many, is the worst imaginable place.I knew the risk thanks to other reviews, they tell you unnicely in their first email, which is very long, and it's only mentioned by half of It.I'm not new to places with drugs addicts but the block where the 5elements is, is truly beyond the lack of safety. Locals later confirmed me it's the worst part of Germany (and probably one of the most dangerous and neglected in UE too). And it's for the intense screams of people with withdrawals all night long, crazily high music and bottles breaking on the ground, people collapsing, ambulance sirens: not the hostel's fault, but with NO ISOLATING WINDOWS in the rooms you won't sleep!! I had strong isolating headphones and wasn't enough. While, somehow, the hall has sound isolating Windows. Why??Check in is very late: (4 p.m) I was there for business reasons like many (visiting the Fair) and it was pretty uncomfortable:They claim to have a "baggage storage room" while, even if it's behind a door locked with a key, it Is actually a unused toilet clearly stating "LEAVE YOUR BAGS AT YOUR OWN RISK" .How can you feel peaceful and welcomed here? Maybe by cooking a meal in the kithen underground and reading that if you don't turn the kithen hood and the fire alarm starts it will be 500 euros fee right away? So, after all these warnings and the threats to your safety each time you go out (day and night) at least the hostel is clean. But with such basic services, to double their standard fee only around the bookfair's week is petty and unmatching the few you get with your stay.

Only after the booking, which you can no longer cancel, does the hotel inform you that it is a red light hotel and the surrounding area and you can cancel the booking. I didn't stay there, but the communication with the hotel was very unfriendly, given the environment. The money for the canceled booking will not be refunded. I'm glad I didn't have to spend the night there and won't!

Place itself wasnt too bad but the issue i had was a fellow room mate decided it was okay to piss all over the floor in our room with other peoples belongings being covered in urine, to my disgust i notified reception about what had happened just to be told 'sorry, did you want house keeping to clean up the mess?' I agreed and requested the person responsible to be removed from the hostel but was told no and he was never questioned or held accountable, when i stated to them things may get heated within the room they said theyd just call the police on ME!??? seriously?? you can tell they didnt care in the slightest about the incident. I felt sorry for the poor guys stuff that had been soaked in urine. Shocking effort

The room itself is not bad, a clean hostel. The service was terrible.Especially the black-haired, glasses-wearing receptionist in the morning is crazy. Do you understand that your job includes explaining things to customers?I don't know if you're annoyed because you're working from early in the morning for a low salary and busy, but at least try to add "please" to your imperatives. Don't take out your frustrations about the way you're treated on customers. Calm down. The rest of the staff seemed pretty busy but at least not aggressive. The toilet was clogged and didn't get fixed for a day, the kitchen is the height of unsanitary conditions.Yes, it's a bit of a low end hostel in Frankfurt. It's cheap so I guess that's to be expected (but worse than thought)I recommend this to young people, especially men, who don't mind the discomfort. I definitely don't recommend this to women or people with money to spare.

The street on which it is located is a bit dangerous, there are homeless people and people using drugs.Inside it is very safe, quiet environment, breakfast is good. The beds in the rooms should have a curtain to give more privacy. It is very close to the central station, it is easy to take the train and metro. The bridge and the old streets of Frankfurt are very easy to walk to.

Right after booking they send you this by mail: "We're in the middle of the red light district. If that bothers you, you can cancel for a 1 night fee." I was staying one night, could've put that on your website before booking if you weren't as deceptive. At night, there's drunks on the streets, broken glass on the ground. We were legit scared walking there.Mattresses and sheets were stained. The price isn't even an excuse, for the same price you have a clean space and personal utilities at different hostels. Also, some people seem to use their bed as a long-term place to stay, entering at 5AM with the full lights on, or talking on the phone.

The girl at the front desk should be in the street with her passive aggressive lock guy ;) her personality is as dangerous as the hostel area after 8pm.|They broke the lock on my locker without calling me first...|Bathroom it was very dirty...|Dangerous district ! Be careful
