Very simple rooms, a bit old. But everything is clean, there is a balcony, ok for a short stay. However, I find the very manageable breakfast buffet at €12.00 too expensive.

This was our second time eating in the restaurant. Always very good. Prepared fresh and with passion. Very nice operator.

The many negative reviews annoy me. What is there in z. Partly German, which could be improved greatly, was discontinued is an impertinence.Of course the standard is mediocre. Maybe it would help to take a look at your own calculations, which are really modest when compared? What do people expect when they pay higher food and energy prices at home?If you don't like that, you could spend twice or three times as much money somewhere else - or just stay at home.I liked the location right on my hiking trail and the friendliness with which I was treated.

If you love hearty food, this is the place for you. The homemade mushroom soup is a poem, and the Kramer family also knows something about Thuringian dumplings.😋

We thought the food was just great. Everything came to the table fresh because it was freshly cooked immediately after ordering. You're really happy to take the time to wait. The lady of the house meant it too and she brought a funny flair. Yes, the pub is from the past, but for us that was exactly what gave the restaurant its charm. I'm already looking forward to the next time.

Where should I begin…disaster!!! I was there with my daughter and my grandchild... the price was suspicious and I thought it would be ok for one night... the furnishings are from the 60s, which wouldn't be bad, but the cleanliness is unacceptable... breakfast 12€ per person... for what ??? Hardly anything edible came...the couple should retire, that makes no sense!!! Loving and friendly but that's not how it works...100 € I could have slept in the car...

I'm only reviewing the accommodation and breakfast here, as I didn't eat regularly in the restaurant. The rooms are in a separate house. The first impression when you enter the room: it is getting old. And unfortunately that's what it smells like. There is a large wardrobe, which should easily be enough for two people. There is a cloakroom in the hallway. The TV appears to be working, but is not positioned where you can see from the bed.I found only one socket in the bedroom, on the door. There is also one in the bathroom, for example for the hairdryer. You can only reach the light switch on the bed if you have long arms. The mattress is comparatively hard, which suited my back (I was able to sleep well through the night). We didn't skimp on the bed linen either; it was very thick and kept us nice and warm in cold, wet weather. After the night I got used to the smell. The bathroom, on the other hand, is not in good condition. The toilet lid will fall shut again if you don't hold it in place. You used to be able to adjust the height of the shower head, but that's no longer possible (the screw is broken and the shower head slides down again). So it is well suited for people under 1.50 m.I had two small towels available, so that was also rather uncomfortable.I found it positive that there is also a sufficiently bright light on the mirror.Breakfast would be set up in the dining room of the restaurant. Apparently I was the only guest, but there was still plenty of choice (rolls, bread, cereal, eggs if desired, and coffee or tea was served).I found the breakfast good.I found it bearable for one night; I wouldn't recommend longer to anyone who is used to more comfort. The price is not reasonable (even considering that I was probably the only guest). Then I'd rather spend a little more on a hotel room, but then I'll be satisfied. The owners seemed nice, but I found that positive.Edit: The review has been suspended "due to content policy violations." I have no idea whether this is due to the algorithm or whether the owner was at work here.Unfortunately the photos are no longer available.

My husband was here for three days, thank God ONLY to have a roof over his head for the night, because you couldn't stay here longer. The room is furnished with furniture from grandmother's times, the built-in wardrobe smells so old when you open it that you don't want to hang clothes in it. The bathroom is also ancient, tiles from the 70s.I would like to say that everything was very clean, but that doesn't make up for the outdated interior. The breakfast is completely overpriced at 12 euros: on the "buffet" there were two baked rolls, two slices of bread, a few slices of sausage and cheese, a jam, a large cup of yogurt for everyone, two apples, a banana, apple juice and so on Milk. All in all: Not much choice and serving baked rolls for 12 euros... well... the breakfast wasn't worth more than 5 euros. And if you think you have peace and quiet at breakfast, then you haven't settled the bill with the landlady. As sweet and caring as the couple is, it's exhausting to be bombarded with private stories all the time during breakfast. The Kramer couple are really nice, but everything else leaves a lot to be desired. Conclusion for us and my husband: The hotel is not worth the money!I would have liked to have written something nicer, but it would have been hypocritical.

So we chose and booked this accommodation during our Bonifatius planning. Unfortunately. Because the rooms are totally outdated and the food and breakfast are bad. Sorry, the couple there tries very hard, but a bad breakfast for 12 euros is not right and very borderline. When planning, please try not to book here, as even 2 weeks of cancellation is not acceptable. So if possible don't book here......!!
