I've been there twice now.1 x for wine tasting in the beautiful vaulted wine cellar and 1 time without wine tasting in the beautiful garden.Each time with a larger group and both times our wishes were fully fulfilled.There were nicely presented snack plates and baguettes, and the hostess was very friendly and attentive.The small garden is a lovely place to sit.I'd love to come back!

Actually really cute rooms. Unfortunately, the floor in the old half-timbered house was uneven and I somehow got a little seasick. No curtains to darken the windows. And if you're unlucky, the orchestra next door is playing.

Friendly welcome, rooms very comfortable, and the evening in the garden of the wine shop that belongs to the house was also very nice. Breakfast is served outside the house. Everything great.

Unfortunately, the nicely designed house was not reflected at all in the friendliness of the owner. Like other guests, we had the impression that we were a nuisance as soon as we entered the house. There was no warm welcome, questions about arrival or a smile. The garden and wine cellar were closed. Card payment and breakfast were not offered. On the day of departure, despite a written offer, a higher price was suddenly quoted. The reason was the increased maintenance costs. The current prices can be found on the Internet, according to the owner. We would certainly have liked to support this, but not on the last day. A small and above all friendly note before arrival or on the first day would have been enough. A pity. We probably won't come again.

A fair assessment is not easy. The beautifully restored house is very cozy. Our room too, unfortunately without a private bathroom. And it was wonderfully quiet. The bathroom pictured online is very nice, but unfortunately it is a shared bathroom for two rooms. Luckily we were the only guests!Breakfast is no longer offered due to Corona and the limited space. To do this we would have to go to a nearby old town café - that's ok so far.The in-house wine shop was also closed.The next time we book, we would definitely want to have our own bathroom (perhaps in the building next door? - looks nice too).The owners are also very nice. Unfortunately, only cash payment is accepted and an additional charge applies if you only stay one night.

The room was fine. But the associated bathroom is in the hallway. There is a single room on the first floor and we were not told whether the bathroom was also used for the single room. If so.....shared bathroom is not possible!! Not for 75 euros a night! Rooms with breakfast are offered on the internet and in the flyer. When I asked when checking in, they said: there is no breakfast, so you have to walk 100 meters into the old town and have breakfast at the old town cafe! The following morning we wanted to check out and knocked on the innkeeper's door (around 9 a.m.) and were greeted unfriendly with "what's wrong?" That's not customer service. We cannot and do not recommend this accommodation! Others can do it better!

On August 20th, 2021 we stayed overnight in the guesthouse “Unterm Burgfels” on our bike tour. The name says it all, as the old half-timbered walls are located directly below the castle. It is, in the truest sense of the word, a “small” guesthouse. At 1.82 m, I was able to get to know the ceiling beams several times, even in the shower. The beds are also a little narrower than usual. However, if this doesn't scare you, you can spend the night in a very comfortable and lovingly furnished guesthouse.Our bikes were stored in an open garage, but access was via a closed courtyard. In any case, nothing happened to the wheels.The landlady was very friendly and runs the “Felsenkeller” wine shop next door, in whose courtyard we spent a cozy evening with wine and small delicacies.Unfortunately, we couldn't get breakfast because the Corona requirements didn't allow this due to the cramped conditions.In any case, we would love to come back.
