We were in a room in the old building. It was a bit old, but surprisingly clean and well-kept. This charm of a cozy country hotel is something totally cozy. A really nice atmosphere. The service and breakfast were great, wishes were fulfilled straight away. We'd love to come back.

The hotel is located in the center of Bad Salzschlirf and you can walk directly in the spa park. The rooms are clean and large. We had a kind of suite straight away. Breakfast ok. Nothing is missing. We were satisfied.

When making the reservation, I forgot to ask for a duvet and pillow for allergy sufferers. Unfortunately there were a duvet and pillows with feathers in the room. My polite request for an exchange was met with a grumpy and extremely unfriendly response. But it was replaced, the pillow was a misshapen structure with a few fiber balls that doesn't deserve to be called a pillow. The mattress was surprisingly good and apparently brand new. I can also confirm the cleanliness of the rooms, which has been praised by many.The room had not been ventilated and there was an unpleasant musty smell in the bathroom. The bathroom is extremely small, very old and unsightly, but well maintained and clean. The water in the sink drains very slowly.However, I understand something different by a good, filling breakfast, which some praise, especially fresh rolls and no baked goods. The boiled eggs were very good and tasted good. Fresh fruit? Yes, there really were two apples on one plate! The bottle of honey was sticky and sticky. There were tiny spoons for cornflakes and grains. You can imagine why.The WiFi was slow and wasn't available at all on my last day.I originally asked for the option to extend the stay by 1-2 days, but I left after the two nights I had booked. I found the overall atmosphere in the house to be very unfriendly and uninviting.When I paid the bill, my credit card was rejected by the booking terminal. I immediately transferred the invoice amount from home and informed the hotel about this by email. There was no answer to that. Of course, I don't want to assume that you want to avoid credit card fees in this way. However, cash payment is requested... The use of the credit card later worked without any problems in two shops, and when I asked, the card-issuing bank told me that payment cancellations are very often caused by operating errors, poor connections or defective readers.I would like to agree that the Hotel Schober is only suitable for a very short stay.

Great hotel for a short trip. Very clean and well maintained, great service and very nice staff.Our room was probably the largest in the entire hotel and had lots of windows through the bay window. So we were able to sleep well despite the heat.The room was renovated not long ago and it was really nice and cozy. The bathroom was very old, but perfectly clean and well maintained.The breakfast was excellent, very filling. It was constantly replenished and there was something for every taste.

The bathrooms are a bit old but very clean.Our double room was quite modern, large and nicely decorated. We had the room in the old building with a bay window. Very nicely located and you can feel comfortable.The beds were comfortable but the slatted frames were no longer quite right, we said that when we left. They will take care of it.The breakfast buffet is great. Lots of choice and it is refilled immediately as soon as something runs out.WiFi was very good and free everywhere in the hotel and in the room.All in all very recommendable. The price was unbeatably cheap. We will definitely come back again!

We spent three nights in the old building of the hotel with a voucher offer. Our room was fine and appropriate for the price-performance ratio. The breakfast buffet was attractive and of good quality. Ms. Student and her employees were always friendly and guest-oriented. The hotel is a good starting point for long hikes in the nearby forests and for cycling tours, for example to Fulda. Bicycles could be safely stored in the hotel.

Many thanks to Ms. Student and her team!Very flexible, very accommodating, very nice.The aging house welcomes the guest with the smell of lying by the water...The bikes had a very safe place IN THE house.The room in the half-timbered house booked with a voucher was spacious, bright, clean - (unfortunately there were problems with the slatted frame of a bed) and a very small bathroom.The large breakfast room and the very rich breakfast buffet with good quality and fresh fruit leave nothing to be desired. Small special requests fulfilled immediately😊Price/performance completely okay.You can go on great hikes and bike tours directly from the town…
