Hotel Garni Uhyst

I have nothing to complain about, I had a single room and it was absolutely sufficient, here and there a small stain in the carpet which I think is inevitable. Breakfast was also okay, if something was, I say, eaten, it was refilled, as was coffee, milk, etc. Matthias Theiss Erfurt

We were on vacation in the guesthouse and as a larger group we got the rooms in the main building.Let's start with the positive things first. We were on beautiful grounds with a beautiful kitchen garden and the peace and quiet of the place was also wonderful. We were also given the opportunity as a group to sit together (either on a terrace or a pavilion) and were given a barbecue upon request. There is a bicycle rental service on site and free parking for guests. The breakfast had a nice selection if you were there shortly after 8 a.m., it was constantly topped up and made sure that there was always enough coffee for everyone. We were also offered alternatives to the bean drink. The manager of the guesthouse was always friendly and took good care of us.Now for the negative. Let's start with breakfast, where, despite all the care, I don't see the value of 12 euros per person per day. Still a nice breakfast but not that much value. There was an offer to use the house's WiFi, but none of our 9 people had access to it. There were also some problems with the electronics. Of the 5 rooms, 2 bathroom fans didn't work, an electric roller blind stopped working from day 2, as did the light in the anteroom of the same apartment. The coffee machine in the apartment was also damaged. There were a total of 3 different price lists in the rooms, which differ from the prices online. There were TVs in every room, which is a nice touch, however the TVs are quite complicated and tend to switch from TV to radio. Last but not least, we have the grumpy owner of the house who was reluctant to provide our group with more cutlery for dinner together (we washed everything and gave it back!) and while the owner of the house was very relaxed when a glass broke, he was immediately upset and angry, he immediately inspected the floorboards of the pavilion carefully for damage and immediately set out a bucket and brush so that we could scrub there first. Before activities (such as barbecuing) he also wanted to explain to the women in the group how it actually worked. As soon as men were there, suddenly everything was fine and he was very friendly.All in all, it's a nice guesthouse and you can spend a few days there in peace if you're willing to make a few compromises here and there and avoid the landlord.

Hello,We arrived and were greeted very friendly. The rooms were clean and fine. What was wrong was the breakfast. Unfortunately, what many guests before us had already written came true. Four men came to me for breakfast at 9:00 a.m.I didn't want to believe what I was seeing. Bread was empty. The sausage and cheese platter was empty. Butter was empty. Bread was refilled immediately. However, only light rolls and slices of brown bread. There simply wasn't the slightest choice. Butter was then limited to four small slices. Actually enough for two rolls. A pot of coffee was served. p.P. one and a half small cups. We then asked and received a new pot. Butter was also served again. However, only four slices again. What wasn't replenished was the sausage and cheese plate. We then had to make do with jam and honey. That's not possible for €10 per person.I can recommend this hotel to stay overnight. But I would never have breakfast in this hotel again.

It is a very nice, quiet hotel and the landlords were also very friendly. We'll definitely come back again.

We can highly recommend the holiday apartment a few hundred meters away from the Hotel Garni. Very stylish and high quality furnishings.

Was shocked at the billing for “just” one night! The breakfast leaves a lot to be desired.

nice atmosphere, unfortunately overpriced and our room wasn't that clean. You have to fight for “breakfast” because only 4 slices of sausage are put on the plate even though around 15 people are eating breakfast. The 4 pieces of salmon lie torn on a small saucer.There is a half-empty coffee pot at every table. If it is freshly filled, there is just enough coffee for 3-4 small cups.For the money, I'd rather check into a real hotel with wellness next time.
