A very beautiful gem, idyllically located in the Zittau Mountains. This is a great place to stay in the Zittau area and enjoy relaxing excursions.A ride on the local narrow-gauge railway takes you back in time to the past decades.We really liked it and the delicious food and the staff were always friendly and gave plenty of tips for nice trips here.Many thanks to the hotel manager and his staff.We felt very comfortable and will recommend the hotel and will definitely come back.Thank you very much for the lovely days.

A charming gem near ZittauOur stay at Hotel BB was simply wonderful! This charming hotel, idyllically located near Zittau, impressed us from the start. The location is perfect for anyone wanting to explore the beauty of the region.The owner of the hotel was incredibly friendly and provided us with great recommendations for places to visit in the area. Thanks to his tips we were able to discover some of the most beautiful places that we might have otherwise missed.The food at Hotel BB was another highlight of our stay. The dishes were not only tasty, but also lovingly prepared and presented. It was a pleasure to try something new every day.The staff was always attentive and warm, which made our stay even more pleasant. ....we were "posted" here over New Year's Eve🥳, I can only say that we didn't miss anything, everything was great, great room, great location, breakfast, dinner, everything was chic👍😉....mimosas would probably be complain about the traffic and the smoke from the steam locomotive, but it's all nonsense. Above all, the immediate proximity to the narrow-gauge railway station has something... Clear recommendation ☝️😎

We stayed at this hotel for 4 days in October. I don't know what some people expect. The room was very nice, clean and coordinated down to the last detail. It's normal that a hotel isn't always newly renovated. But it was in very good condition, attractive and quiet.The service was great too. The boss was always on site at breakfast and dinner and provided the service, which worked out great. For half board guests there was a choice of 3-4 dishes, all of which were really sufficient, varied and tasty.After arrival, there were recommendations for things to do on site and also a word more about the beautiful area. It was also very pleasant that we were able to get additional half board for an evening without any problems. The location is great, parking spaces in front of the door, rooms clean, beds good and the service is good. If you want 5*, you have to go to a 5* hotel and not to a regional privately run hotel. We'll definitely be back...thank you.

Positive:Hotelier tries to give excursion tips.Good location for exploring Zittau MountainsCons: Hotel is not worth the money, no elevatorRooms/doors/corridor show significant signs of wear. Restaurant (only for house guests / half board) does not invite you to spend the evening longer than eating. You can't cook pasta...Bathroom equipment: Not suitable for showering --> swims afterwards. No shelf for beaty case or similar.Room fridge broken.Lighting (as always) in the wrong place, energy saving lamps undersized

On Sunday at 9:30 a.m., as non-house guests, we were able to stay for breakfast and serve at the buffet. Despite the hefty price, thank you for this exception that saved the day. Otherwise we would have had to stay hungry on our way home until midday.

I am surprised by the predominantly positive reviews of Hotel BB. This and the website persuaded me to book three nights with breakfast. I like the charm of the Wilhelminian era, you can tell that this hotel was renovated with great attention to detail, although a very long time ago. The rooms are clean but that's where my positive view ends. The restaurant and beer garden is no longer in operation due to a lack of staff, which makes the facility look really sad and empty. Day trips etc. are advertised, but these no longer take place either. The operator tried to organize a trip for us, but it was just a question of money. Unfortunately, pets are not welcome here. The breakfast is rather lower standard, some bed and breakfast hostels offer better, I advise against the cereals. Refilling was very slow. I didn't book dinner. Contact with the operator was very brittle and hard-working. In this price range (129 euros single room / 139 euros double room) I expect more: warmth, accessibility, better care of the guests. It's a shame because the hotel has definitely had better days. I can't estimate when the operator lost the joy and vision for his hotel, but I would like him and the hotel to find it again. Given the current situation and the price, I wouldn't come back. Promises more than it can deliver. A pity.

We spent four lovely days here. The hotel and rooms were very nice and clean. There is nothing to complain about. The food was very tasty. Always my pleasure. The boss also helps you and can give tips for excursions in the entire area. Thanks again.

The hotel at Bertsdorf train station has a lot to offer that will be remembered fondly for a long time. 🤔 In addition to the family-like, Saxon-friendly way in which you are welcomed and looked after in the hotel, it is of course also the lovely and very special ambience that not only scores with children. Dinner always becomes really exciting when the small, rattling model train has to transport the 14th shower to the table.😋👍😉

We had a very pleasant stay: ideal location for the train station (although you had to close the windows early because the traffic was a bit annoying), the hotel was very clean, the furnishings were stylish and not shabby. Functioning technology: Instant hot water, fire doors close quietly and are not wedged (as is unfortunately often the case). Although the hotel's occupancy was low, there was a rich breakfast.What didn't fit: As in many hotels, there is a lack of storage space in the bathroom (e.g. a small stool would be very useful as a place to put a hygiene kit). And as is unfortunately often the case: in order to use the dispenser for washing lotion you have to press it awkwardly or in this case it is practically unusable for delicate women's hands.
