You will be transported back in time here! The food was good and reasonably priced! Friendly but there is no currywurst stall here so put your jackets in the cloakroom! 😂

Rating for restaurant only!We were here for dinner, solid German cuisine with reasonable prices. The waiter was friendly, if a bit rustic. ;-)

It was the worst hotel we have stayed at. Actually quite okay from the outside, but inside time has stood still. Everywhere from the restaurant to the stairs to the room there was disgusting carpet and the smell in the whole house and room was bad, it smelled like old frying oil and somehow moldy. Just bad. The furniture from GDR times doesn't work at all. The boss wasn't friendly, the only one who was friendly and even smiled was the blonde waitress. I can't recommend this hotel to anyone.

We stayed in this hotel for one night. Room 8, small and cozy.When you enter the hotel you feel like you've been transported back...back to your childhood when everything was simple. The furniture may be old but that's exactly what makes it so simple, the homely... the service is nice, courteous and not intrusive. The breakfast buffet is sufficient, there is something of everything your heart desires and you can eat more than enough of it. We will definitely be back and want it to be the same again... Room 2 and Room 8

Near the spa park. Breakfast buffet. Food is made fresh here. Rooms clean, furniture has been around for many years. Parking in the yard. Bathroom needs to be renovated. You should visit the gourmet shop about 200 m further on the main street. Inside you will find seating, e.g. B. to enjoy the great antipasta platter and well-filled gourmet bread with a good glass of wine. There is a small grocery store there. Have an excellent fresh goat cheese.

Nice little hotel with a kitchen for other guests too. It was difficult on January 1st. to find a restaurant that was open. We don't regret our decision to dine there.There was a mushroom omelette and finally a nice home-style ice cream with lots of fruit.A beautifully decorated Christmas tree made the stay there very comfortable.

I spent one night there. It was terrible! The room was a better storage room. You couldn't call it a bed either. More like a flatbed! A mattress could only be glimpsed. No real blanket, just a thin woolen blanket! There was no key to the closet, so I had a lot of trouble getting it open. The small bathroom should be mentioned positively. WiFi in the room was not adjustable. For breakfast I asked for a latte machiato. But the Czech specialist didn't want to understand me and kept referring me to the coffee pot on the table, because I didn't want to. The fruit salad and the boiled egg were very tasty. The rest of the breakfast offering was ok! The parking space at the house and the central location should be mentioned positively!

The rooms have the flair of a "GDR museum". We only spent one night there so it didn't matter to us. Everything was very clean and the breakfast was better than in some 4 star hotels. The service was very good.

We were not far from this hotel/restaurant and decided to try what the restaurant had to offer.Right at the entrance, we were poorly welcomed by a very rude gentleman who simply, without even saying "good evening", asked us what we wanted. It was like we were bums asking for something to eat.We replied that we were there to try to find a nice restaurant for dinner but due to the poor service we would look for somewhere more welcoming to eat.A place to avoid...By the way, Bad Elster is a special place. Restaurants close at 8 p.m. and during the day, businesses, including cafes and others, close at 5 p.m. A strategy must be established during the stay to avoid inconveniences.
