It was our first time to spend the night in the Köhlerhütte, everything was great. The staff was really nice and accommodating. A great location. You get used to the passing train and its signal. Mom was with Rolllatour, we handled it well. Unfortunately not suitable for wheelchair users. Food very tasty. Had to reserve a table every day, that speaks for itself.Breakfast is simply great, something for everyone. We'll definitely be back.

We stayed at the Köhlerhütte for 3 nights for a city tour of Dresden/Leipzig.We intentionally went outside a bit. Beer garden: Beautiful, unfortunately no reservations (also possible for hotel guests), food was OK. Service not great (there's probably a lack of staff)Room: clean and located at the back. There was no sound from the beer garden, but the regional train honked at regular intervals until late in the evening and then again in the morningBreakfast: Better than expected, there are only 11 rooms, so I don't have a choice like in the 300-bed temple.We weren't dissatisfied in the 3 days, but would try a different hotel next time.

Yesterday evening we visited the actually beautiful beer garden, which really invites you to linger. Unfortunately, our visit was overshadowed by some negative experiences.When we ordered, we had to wait a long time before our order was even taken. After that it took over an hour until our food finally came. Unfortunately, this didn't live up to expectations: According to the menu, the fish fingers were supposed to be served with mashed potatoes, but we got roasted potatoes instead. Even with the matjes, for which we had ordered fried potatoes, we only received normal potatoes. You can't necessarily speak of a highlight in terms of taste either.Another point was the service. One had the impression that no one here was particularly motivated. We didn't ask for more drinks or whether everything was to our satisfaction. We were also not impressed by the price-performance ratio overall.It's a real shame because the surrounding area and the beer garden offer a great atmosphere. We hope that this was an exception and such issues can be resolved in the future.

We ate different dishes with 7 people and everything was delicious. The portions were more than sufficient and the service was super attentive and friendly. The atmosphere was really cozy.

We were guests at a school induction. The service was friendly, but sometimes not seen enough, so the glasses remained empty for longer. The food was tasty.Due to other celebrations, the terrace was well filled and almost seemed overcrowded.I wasn't dissatisfied with the evening, but it wasn't a highlight.

We stayed here for 3 nights with our two children. We had a family room. This was equipped with a double bunk bed and a double bed. The shower room was beautiful and modern. The room was neat and clean. Unfortunately, our room was right next to the kitchen exhaust system. The first evening we forgot to close the window. Well, it wasn't so bad, it just smelled like good food that we had tried before. I can only say one thing about dinner: “Absolutely delicious.” The half duck with red cabbage and dumplings was amazing. ☺️ My wife had cheese spaetzle. You can tell that the cooking there is hearty Bavarian. The breakfast we booked also left nothing to be desired. 👍All in all it was a nice short vacation for us. ☺️It may be necessary to invest a little in the property in the future to spice up the external appearance. That's why only 4 stars.The staff was always there and fulfilled all wishes.Keep it up. 👍☺️

The restaurant used to be highly recommended, but unfortunately not anymore. The menu is now very short and the highlights are not available. I then ordered currywurst with fries, you can't go wrong, I thought. For the first time, I didn't get the sausage in one piece but in small pieces, just like you would find in the refrigerated section of a discount store. Unfortunately that's what it tasted like, not grilled or fried. Unfortunately, the fries didn't score either. The 2 stars are in a great location for the beer garden.

My husband and I were able to spend a night here yesterday. Totally nice owners and employees. Clean rooms and breakfast with lots of homemade food. Only recommended! We were definitely not here for the last time
