We stayed at this hotel for a family and birthday celebration over the weekend. We really liked our room (suite), which we moved into as a family with two small children. Unfortunately, the sofa bed there is very uncomfortable and small, and there was no wardrobe. But the room was clean and comfortably furnished. We liked the food and the drinks were okay too.The following should be said about the staff: The cleaning staff as well as the waiters and the cook were always friendly, very open and also accommodated special requests. The boss, on the other hand, is an extremely unfriendly, obviously misogynistic person who cannot stick to agreements. And when it is pointed out to him that things were agreed otherwise, he becomes very sulky. That was quite a shame as it put us under a lot of stress in preparation for the family celebration.

Owner unfriendly and unable to read an email, my son and I booked a twin room by email as requested by the owner, the hotel owner left the room card in the night safe. Card was received with the code given (luckily via WhatsApp). Standing in front of a single room (child's bed!!!) with great amazement. Called the owner around 11 p.m. He came 20 minutes later, no apology or anything, instead he claimed on the phone that a single room had been booked. He immediately wanted €130, he didn't know what for, but it didn't matter, he just wanted to go to bed, the next day the room card didn't work, I went down to the reception, the boss was sitting there. Explained the situation and he said "You only have a reservation for one night" I replied that he should read the email we wrote him. Then it got louder, I checked out immediately and booked another hotel and lo and behold it was much better.Absolutely not recommended, stay away from it.

I visited the restaurant today (May 18, 2024). Obwohl wir eine große Gruppe waren (22 Leute) kam zu keiner Zeit Stress bei der Bedienung auf. Always friendly and attentive. Special requests were also fulfilled. An "extra star" for coffee. (Der Kellner weiß, was ich meine)Thank youAngela B.

Very nice hotel, friendly staff, enough parking spaces. Unfortunately a little away from Leipzig. Still a welcome alternative.

Very disappointing... Had a funeral service and very unfriendly staff. The lady didn't know much about wine and therefore always ran behind the bar to see what was available. The ladies then decided on a red wine, which was served in very dirty glasses. The waitress then disappeared into the kitchen and polished three new glasses, which she then brought back to our table with the comment that she had now touched the stem of the glass. We were supposed to pour the wine from the dirty glasses into the new glasses at the table, so we had to drink the wine and of course pay the full price. No apologies from the staff, just mushy answers like their patience is slowly running out... Keep your eyes open when choosing a career. We are very sorry that they had to work because of us guests and couldn't just sit around stupidly. It's a shame to treat mourners like that... In the end they said we had bullied the waitress, which wasn't even remotely true, the bottom line is that this lady is just incapable of doing her job...

Small cup of coffee and 3 mini pieces of cake for 7. Everyone wasn't happy. For the discussions with my relatives, we won't be back. It really couldn't be more unfriendly.

We went to the "restaurant" today for coffee and cake for a funeral service. We entered the premises, it was nicely decorated, the boss and waitress were initially friendly. The drama began when a few guests wanted to order some wine. Lovely was desired - it didn't exist. The good “special edition” was then pulled out - it should cost over €50 a bottle. They then agreed on a Dornfelder...so far so good...the waitress brought 3 glasses of wine - the glasses were so dirty that the ladies of course wanted to return the glasses. After a good 10 minutes, the waitress came back, noticeably unfriendly, with three cleaned glasses and slammed them on the table with the remark: "Your patience is about to run out." So the ladies were supposed to pour the wine from the dirty glasses on the beautifully white-covered tables into the clean glasses. When people complained that they didn't want to drink the wine from the dirty glasses, the waitress just said, "Should I do that?" “Tip it away now or something”. .. so she took the glasses, visibly annoyed, and poured them over herself behind the counter.Very unpleasant for everyone involved! Not only does this situation overshadow the celebration, it is a disgrace for every host to treat their guests so subterraneanly! The cake was of course from the freezer and in the end a lot of money was charged for it...price performance was practically non-existent. When we left the restaurant, the boss also gave us a lot of abuse. All in all, it was the way no one would want it to be and I know where I, or anyone in the family, will never set foot in again!Unfriendly, overpriced, frozen food - never again! It is already known in small Hohenmölsen that the store is not recommended, but today's experience topped everything!
