A good alternative to expensive old town hotels. Charming guest house, well connected by transport and yet relatively quiet for the good location. The rooms are functional and the Helfried family is courteous and friendly and strives to ensure the guests' well-being.

We had a nice room, which faced the street. There was a lot of traffic on the road due to a construction site and it was very loud. The breakfast was okay but not a highlight.

Very rude and unprofessional welcome to Germany. After sending us an email confirmation of the reservation, management claimed that the credit card wasn't valid. They did not write or call to let their cistomers know that beforehand, and rudely hung up when I called them from the front door. From other reviwes it sounds like a great place, which may very well be true, but that was not a nice way to do business in my own personal experience. Communication is key. Not hanging up on people, dear management. Thanks.

The lady at the reception, a hybrid between a robot and an alien, seems fake friendly, drones on with her text and then immediately asks you to check out. You don't have the opportunity to check the compilation with all the extras.Hospitality was not present. I haven't had such unfriendly, cold handling in a long time. The information and booking do not match. A shameless money-cutting tactic. According to the booking, the price for a double room, without extras, is 68.00 EUR. However, the following is charged for 4 nights:1 night at 124.20 EUR2 nights at 106.20 EUR/each1 night at 133.20 EURWhy the same room has a different price every day is a mystery to me. There are also all the extras: Dresden accommodation tax, breakfast, pets, parking space. The Loschwitz guesthouse impresses with its absolutely poor price-performance ratio and is very expensive. The breakfast was, to say the least, a discount breakfast of the worst kind. Every day there are different delicacies, a fruit plate with a halved banana that I wouldn't have dared to serve. The head breakfast chef didn't seem to blush in the slightest, impassive and impervious to discouragement. He simply passes out his breakfasts according to a crazy process. The price 1 breakfast in the room is stated at 9.50 EUR. However, you will be charged 11 EUR
