We spent 2 nights in this hotel. We were really looking forward to the hotel as it seemed to be a very nice hotel from the pictures. The hotel is located on a side street, which makes it very quiet. There was no parking due to construction. From the outside, the old villa seemed very well maintained and inviting. However, when I entered the villa I was disappointed. It smelled like old, watery coffee. The receptionist was very friendly and had a reasonable command of the German language, but unfortunately I could barely understand her because of her dialect. Then we came to our room.. at first glance very nice and spacious.. unfortunately not anymore at second glance.. the furniture was completely worn out, windows were shabby, the over curtain was hanging down on one side, a cobweb was hanging from the ceiling, everything was a bit dusty and the mirrors were partly smeared. The bathroom was new but not great...there were limescale spots everywhere. The filling didn't seem to work so well either, the towel heater was covered in rust, and the old bathroom door was swelling at the bottom so that the paint was peeling off. The bed was fine, clean and comfortable. The breakfast tasted okay, but the breakfast room in the basement was a bit dark and seemed old-fashioned, and the windows there were very dirty. The coffee was unfortunately watery and cold. Unfortunately, you lose all appetite and the holiday feeling. The buffet counter was dark and "covered", you had to duck down to grab the toppings. - definitely not for older people or people with back problems. All in all a pretty villa with a lot of potential. Unfortunately, the actually great charm of the old villa is not used adequately but is rather exploited and the guests are lured with great photos, which are then more than disappointed upon arrival. The building is definitely in need of renovation and is past its best! The price-performance ratio is not right here at all.We will not recommend the Sax Imperial and will not come back. What a shame!

Unfortunately the room was dirty with animal hair (in clumps). There was animal and human hair in the bed. All (actually) shiny surfaces (e.g. mirrors, fittings, etc.) were smeared. The reception was not manned as planned, so we called the emergency number provided and explained the situation. A callback was promised within the “next two minutes” but unfortunately it was never received. For hygiene reasons, staying overnight in this room was out of the question, so we left the hotel. We got the money back. For €125 per night it's a disgrace.

Clean and comfortable rooms await you. The hotel team is very nice and will help if something goes wrong. (e.g. you arrive later than planned for room acceptance :) ). There is something for everyone at breakfast.

We traveled as a couple to stay at this hotel for one night. The location in a side street was good and therefore quiet. The check-in details were simple and well thought out. The overall impression upon entering the hotel was fine. However, when we entered our hotel room we were disappointed - just worn out. The furniture had seen its best years, and the curtains on the windows were hanging down. When I discovered the quilt in our bed, the joy was completely over. Yellow ceiling with holes and cracks. We would also like to have a good night's sleep. The lady at reception was friendly and asked if everything was OK - no, it wasn't - we communicated this openly.Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this accommodation at all.

No thanksDogs are allowed on request. We did it and it said yes, of course. It's just stupid that we weren't allowed to take our puppy... who can't stay alone... with us to breakfast. The service is non-existent. The reception was not staffed even though the time was set aside for it.The breakfast/breakfast room is underground... the coffee is watery, the room is warm and dark, all the tables were full of used plates/trash. The service staff was not available. The furniture in the room is getting old and our room was right next to the construction site (which is why there was no parking space)

Excellently located if you want to combine visits to the surroundings of Dresden, or visit places in the city itself. Large convenient rooms, decent breakfast, excellent price / quality match. Highly recommended for a convenient stay for a very reasonable price!

Dresden was our destination during a cycling trip along the Elbe. We had to climb quite a hill to get to the hotel, but the destination was worth it. The hotel is a beautiful villa, of which there are many in the area. They are beautiful. We arrived after 3pm, so the reception was no longer working. The key was in the self-service box. There was a bit of confusion with the number of beds, but after a call everything was resolved. Breakfast excellent. Rooms clean. There is a construction site nearby, so expect an alarm clock at 7 a.m. on weekdays. But when it is built, it will definitely be perfect here. Right opposite the entrance to the forest park. It will probably be interesting to explore it, unfortunately there was no time. There will only be a problem with car parking, we locked the bikes outside on the terrace. . So cool.

Reception very unfriendly and annoyed. The staff in general is very unfriendly. Beds were ok, lamps didn't work and no one even emptied the trash can in 3 days. I just looked at breakfast and didn't eat anything. The floor in the breakfast room was as greasy as a stick of butter. Plates dirty and the “buffet” carelessly thrown away. I'd rather go to the bakery and get something. The most annoying thing, however, is the large construction site next door... There was no information about it in advance. It's annoying to catch something like that on vacation.
