We booked the studio there for two nights and we had everything we needed.A small kitchen and comfortable mattresses on the beds.We were very satisfied and the prices can't be beat for Swiss standards.Bartenders are super nice and the owner takes care of the guests' needs.So we highly recommend it.

The experience at Zak hotel during the Schaffhausen show period was far from satisfactory. The staff member, Cristine, appeared stressed and disorganized, primarily communicating in Spanish. She openly complained about her low salary of 2000 francs per month, and her demeanor suggested she may have been under the influence of alcohol. The city's festive atmosphere due to the ongoing shows may have contributed to this behavior.Room 11, where I stayed, was disappointing. The cleanliness was subpar, with an uncleaned shower and even a cockroach spotted inside. The beds were stacked on top of each other, contrary to the description of normal beds. The red linoleum flooring added to the unpleasant ambiance. Overall, the experience was marred by poor hygiene and unprofessional staff conduct.In conclusion, Zak hotel during the Schaffhausen show period failed to meet basic standards of cleanliness and service. It is not a recommended accommodation choice for those seeking a comfortable and pleasant stay.

We came down there for one night on our bike tour with a small child. Very central and inexpensive, everything was clean, we got a baby bed and a two-room apartment. This meant our child didn't have to sleep with us - perfect! Like the fact that it had a hot plate. The staff was friendly and the manager asked and chatted several times. At night we heard something from the bar downstairs, but also because all the windows were open. It's a good, cheap and practical place to stay for a few nights. If you're looking for luxury, you'll have to go somewhere else, but you can't expect that here at this price.

The only reason we ended up there was because we couldn't get a room anywhere else. We stopped there on a bike ride and my son has been mildly traumatized ever since. Since the elevator didn't inspire much confidence, we squeezed through the narrow stairwell and were glad we didn't get stuck in it. In addition, there was an obviously mentally ill guest lurking in front of the elevator who not only wore the right flip flop on the left and the left on the right (flop-flips) but was stuck in it from the front (pilf-polfs). We seemed to find this so exciting that he paid us a visit in our room afterwards.Harmless guy with full shade but still unpleasant. I really had doubts as to whether we had ended up in accommodation or a branch of the Schaffhausen prison. NOT RECOMMENDED!!!

My things, jacket and pants, were stolen from my room. People invited themselves into my room. They were in the bar downstairs. They saw me there. I was drinking downstairs then thought I was sleeping there and gingerwen with cans of time. They came upstairs and had them When I was completely stressed out, an employee called or called for help and I went downstairs to call them. They didn't take me seriously, they laughed at me and the price was cheaper. They took more from me than the price there was
