We ate at Restaurant Maien, so I can't comment on the hotel.The food was very good, as were the drinks. The waitresses were very friendly and quick. All in all, I can recommend the restaurant very well and with a clear conscience.

You have to differentiate between the Hotel Maien and the associated Restaurant Maien. Only the hotel is rated here.The hotel is centrally located in Todtmoos. We went there for the second time with our motorcycle group because the price was quite cheap. Unfortunately we didn't have any of the rooms that are so promising in the pictures. The hotel only has partially renovated rooms, which unfortunately were denied to us during our 5-day stay. Instead, we had to make do with rooms that had a significant backlog of renovations. This particularly affects the bathrooms, which probably date from the late 1970s or 1980s. The layout of the bathrooms also takes some getting used to. Sink behind the door, only accessible when it is closed. Shelf for bathroom utensils above the toilet. The shower curtain for the 80 cm wide shower tray only covered 70 cm, so that the water found its way out every time I showered. The bathroom door looked like this. The bathroom should have a total area of 1.5 square meters. The slatted frame of my bed was made by myself and was therefore literally as hard as a board. The rooms above and next to reception are very sensitive to noise and you can hear very clearly when someone uses the stairs down.The only bright spot was the friendly service at breakfast, which ensured a good start to the day.The Maien restaurant was reviewed separately.

We booked in for one night with our children. Unfortunately the family room was not available, so we were given two double rooms. The children are 12, that was fine. The reception was very friendly, the inn has employees on site until 11 p.m. The restaurant also makes a very nice impression, the food makes you want to eat. The rooms are furnished in the typical Black Forest style, the furniture is a bit old, but absolutely functional and in order. The rooms were spacious, clean and the bathroom was also absolutely fine. We often visit friends in the region and we will come here again.

Went there for steak dinner. Once and never again. Wrong drink order due to language problems, herb butter, tomatoes and cucumber soggy and apparently old. Steak ok.

Went there for dinner with several people who had also spent the night there. The owner should care more about the condition of the rooms and sanitary facilities than bothering women traveling alone, so that they leave sooner. Even if the food was ok, It also had its price, is that a reason never to return there again.

It's clean, that's all.All they care about is paying as quickly as possible. Afterwards there is nothing more.The restaurant is average, the service lousy. I saw customers leave the table because the speech was so bad. It's really not professional in an ultra-touristy region.I still have not received the invoice for my stay despite a reminder by email and 2 calls.

Have stayed here a few times when travelling through the black forest. Nice hotel with an underground car park for motorbikes. And the restaurant is good - wide selection of local cuisine and local beers and wines. Will be back!

A totally pleasant welcome, with a large dog.Rooms very satisfactory and clean.There were even magnetic charging stations for our devices in the room.Great value for money for everything.The food in the restaurant was very tasty.The service was excellent, Diana read your every need. Top!

Hotel Maien where do we start :-) I would like the owner and manager of the hotel to be just as convincing to a younger audience as to the older generation! We are here for the first night with our dog and we could give 10 stars if it were possible. The managing director Jaime Pinto made a somewhat significant impression on us when we arrived, then we realized that he and his service team had done everything to achieve this We and our dog are doing well. We would like to thank you very much for this great day. We would like to come back and have even booked 6 new days for September. Thanks to everyone and especially to you Jaime, keep it up, we wish you all the best from the bottom of our hearts.

Very nice restaurant with friendly service. Although not on the menu, a ham sandwich was prepared for me. That's a good service. I can't judge the room, I was only a restaurant guest.
