When you wake up, there is no more light in the room, even in the spotlights on the beds... it's not at all easy to get dressed in the bathroom light.Deplorable insulation… I have stayed in other B&Bs and this one is not up to the standards of the others

Good and reasonable place to stay, close to Strasbourg centre. Find a park and ride location where for about 5 euros you can park all day and ride their transportation system for free

This hotel suffers from very poor sound insulation.You can hear everything that happens in the neighboring rooms.For someone like me who has difficulty sleeping, this is difficult to bear.The nice lady at reception explained to me that unfortunately, she couldn't do anything for me, which is still very surprising.

Do you remember that these Sun Kings were resold by the founders to I don't know which margoulins in Nice then taken over by B & B? Not sure the grooming is significant. Pleasant rooms but 3 big downsides: the ridiculous soundproofing which means that you hear everything that happens in the corridor, the slamming doors and the heating, in this case an incredible blower which throws cold at you even as you set to be warm. Let's not even talk about the bathroom radiator control, which was totally blown up. Among the antics, propaganda in favor of the planet. Except that the sink doesn't have a drain: so you shave by letting the water run, which drains very slowly: those who do the cleaning have to pull their hair out. The toilet bowl is floating, completely loose and it takes 6'15 for the bowl to fill when you pull the flush. From the traces of mud in the outbuildings, you quickly realize that you are not in Buckingham. But the staff takes great care, it must be noted.In short: a hotel that smells of its 90s, a time when I frequented it extensively and which only has the absence of competitors nearby. If you build a quality budget Ibis, the ex-Soleil will quickly decline.I'm thinking about it: watch out for your car because the shopping area 300 m away is the meeting point of migrating Africa and zoning Central Europe, everything that the LFI bobos of central Strasbourg adore - from afar -. AND as the German and the Micron want to integrate Bosnia, Albania… I won’t tell you the area in 20 years. Brittany is already affected…

Welcome more than disastrous! Room canceled at the last minute... then accepted after a heated discussion (a group had arrived in the meantime and I was asked to go to another hotel of the manager further away... and close to the airport and further from 30 minutes from my construction site.) But the receptionist who seems to be part of management should change jobs. At least not in direct contact with customers. Otherwise the whole hotel is ok.

Hello, my review refers to customer code 4347451, Reference 4888022073, Invoice number F8670/477324 for the stay of 17 and 18/09/24 in room 50.The sound insulation is simply catastrophic! The wall between rooms 50 and 52 is so poorly insulated that you can hear everything that happens next door (the same goes for the noise from people passing in the corridor, which makes you believe that the entire hotel is poorly insulated). This clearly impacted our quality of sleep and woke us up several times, the clientele here being particularly noisy.When we returned at the end of our first day, we were surprised to find that our room smelled very strongly of cigarettes! Being non-smokers, this inconvenienced us and we quickly noticed that the smell seemed to come from behind the connecting door with room 52. At the time of departure and our complaint to reception, the lady on duty told us indeed pointed out that many disrespectful guests regularly engaged in this practice and that the odors sometimes traveled into adjacent rooms.The second evening was even more awkward because room 52 was occupied by a couple having very noisy sex. Their arrival in the room was around 11 p.m. and their departure, which also woke us up, was around 4:50-5 a.m. Some disturbing elements that we were able to hear lead us to believe that it was a prostitute and her client. Being exposed to this kind of thing is particularly serious and above all reprehensible.We have therefore opened a complaint with the hotel management, which, we hope, will be understandable given the various nuisances we experienced during our stay.EDIT: Despite our complaint dated 09/19/24 as well as the contact established by email dated 09/20/24, the hotel turns a deaf ear to the complaint made by my wife and me. Therefore, I am modifying the review above to publish the full (and unwatered) version so that visitors can form an opinion as to what can await them in these places.

Room ok/normal.We had paid extra for an early afternoon departure but were woken up by the cleaning lady vacuuming the room next door.Despite our remark at reception and our departure in the morning, no reimbursement of this extra was offered to us.
