We were on the ship for dinner and initially the service was very attentive and friendly. Apparently our waiter was off work at 9 p.m. From then on we no longer had active service. When we wanted a dessert we first had to clarify whether there was anything else because the kitchen was closed. The food itself was mostly ok, except for the potatoes, which were raw. The portions are very small in relation to the price. The Cordon Bleu pictured was tasty but very expensive compared to its size (25 euros). We also found the starter to be overpriced. There was no receipt when paying - so we had no control over what we paid.

The service was disastrous.First of all, the food and desserts were good.But...Our waiter was a number in himself. We were brought to the table listlessly and arrogantly.Such an unsympathetic guy who does his job so listlessly and unfriendly is probably out of place.Unfortunately we read the reviews about the waiter too late, otherwise we would have decided against visiting.We were with you last time.

We were a tour group of 14 people from Sunday to Monday. Everyone was thrilled by the ambience of the hotel. A lot of money was invested in the renovation of the time-honored hotel. The dinner and breakfast were very tasty. Overall, a successful stay, we would be happy to come back.

I can't give any information about the hotel as we only visited the restaurant. Since we were on the way home and visited Schluchsee as a stopover, we came to the restaurant for a snack and were very satisfied. Had a nice spot on the terrace overlooking the lake. The food was very tasty 😋 and the service was friendly. The location and the atmosphere inspired us a lot.

We spent 2 nights at the Hotel Schiff. We were completely impressed by the attentive service, who at the second dinner already knew who wanted to drink what and when, as well as the employee in the bar who, without further information, knew which room number. he should write the drinks - great!The hotel is not new, but it is well maintained and everything is in tip top condition.

We had dinner there.The food was very good, but also expensive.Unfortunately, the service leaves a lot to be desired, a waiter who takes the orders and brings them rather listlessly, makes comments and points out the tip when paying. Sorry, I understand something different by friendly service. We don't go there anymore, even if the food tastes good.

Overall nice hotel with very good breakfast. In the evening the salad was disappointing. Watery sauce with little taste. But the small swimming pool is equipped with the counter-current system.

We ate in the restaurant. The food was good, quite expensive. But we weren't that happy with the service. The waiters were just polite, with no joy or passion for working with the guests. It gave us the impression that there is a bad working atmosphere here. Too bad...

We did not stay at the hotel, only ate at the restaurant. Authentic setting, relaxed atmosphere, impeccable service and local and truly delicious food. I highly recommend this restaurant in the heart of the Black Forest!
