I'm coming to the end of a 21 day panchakarma retreat at Rudra Sahashrara Ayurvedic Resort, and the experience has been nothing short of exceptional.Upon arrival, you instantly feel how special this place is. The interior of the resort is bursting with the most vibrant colours, stunning paintings and ornaments, and the main lobby, restaurant, bedrooms, and spa treatment rooms each have their own unique character and story. I've never come across a hotel with such attention to detail. The exterior gardens and pool area overlook the rice paddies and are equally as lovely. The majority of staff at Rudra Sahashrara are Balinese, and exude the warmth, friendliness, smiles and attentiveness that one would expect. The Indian staff exude the same level of warmth, friendliness, smiles and attentiveness, and the blend of both cultures makes this a very special place.I learnt so much during my daily consultations with the onsite ayurvedic doctor, who also provided clinical yoga each morning, tailored to my needs and constitution. He made sure that I was taking the necessary ayurvedic herbs and medicines each day to improve my symptoms. It's worth mentioning that he is a wonderful, intelligent and caring individual and I felt well looked after during my stay. The Ayurvedic chef, who is also a very kind and caring person, was intent on ensuring that I was always well fed, and he creates beautiful, healthy ayurvedic meals that can satisfy any dietary needs and preferences. He is supported by a fabulous team of kitchen and restaurant staff that all contribute to making the internal and external guests experience a memorable one.I have worked in many spas around the world, and visited and received treatments at some top hotel spas in the UK, and I must say that the standard and quality of the treatments at Rudra Sahashrara are up there with the best I've had. The therapists each have their own unique touch, and I throughly enjoyed every treatment that I received. They have been trained in authentic ayurvedic treatments, and the quality was far superior to the treatments I had received on an ayurvedic retreat in India last year. It's also worth mentioning that I spent 2+ hours in the treatments every day for 21 days, and I did not see any Mosquitos.Reception staff are always incredibly helpful, and it was a pleasure to see their smiling faces each morning. Nothing was too much to ask. Not forgetting the housekeeping staff, who perform a diligent job of keeping the rooms very clean, and with all the amenities one could require. The evening turn down service was a lovely touch. It seems to be that the staff are well looked after and supported by the owner, who is always on hand via email should you need. All in all, it was a beautiful time at Rudra Sahashrara and I hope to return again soon. Thank you!
