We came across the inn by chance and were completely satisfied. Price-performance ratio is great. The service was very nice and always had a joke despite the full house. If you find this style cheeky, you should stay at home and go down to the basement to laugh. It's not the last time we've been here, keep it up, everything's great...

Today, September 18th, 2024, we had lunch at Kastanienhof. From the welcome, to the very tasty food, to the entire stay, we were very satisfied. The service by the boss was very friendly. It is a clean and very well-preserved, renovated three-sided courtyard with a restaurant and hotel. We would be happy to come here again.

The food was okay, the restaurant is easily accessible, and there is free parking at the house.The waiter was a bit unfriendly at first because we sat in the wrong place.It would be reserved.Then another 6 guests came, but there was still enough space in the guest room.Everything else was fine, the food tasted good.Price performance was right, a small salad decoration or something similar on the plate would have been nice.The owner was very friendly.A highly recommended restaurant if you want to eat traditional dishes.

The “boss” who has often been mentioned here is unfortunately cheeky!!! This is absolutely not possible! Friendliness? We're at the wrong address here. For a somewhat quieter environment, I wanted to sit down at a table near the reception for a moment after the family celebration we were celebrating here. I was then told that I should stay at home if it was too loud for me. Never again!!! This man is incredibly bold. I'm outraged.

Today, on July 14, 2024 at around 12:30 p.m. my wife and I were passing through Etzoldshain. On the thoroughfare we saw the advertising boards for the Kastanienhof restaurant. Everything looked very neat as we drove into the parking lot. This was, if at all, half full. Google told us that usage was lower than usual. We confidently entered the courtyard. There were around 8 people sitting at the tables outside, and several tables were still free. The waiter asked us what name we had reserved. I said that we were passing through and didn't have a pre-order.Extremely unfriendly and visibly annoyed, he told us, "Today is only with a reservation, well today is Sunday" and left us standing. There were no reservation signs on any table, or a notice showing reservations only when entering the courtyard. My wife and I have never been treated so rudely anywhere.We just wanted to have lunch. There is still a lot of room for improvement when it comes to your demeanor towards other people!!!!!

We had dinner at Kastanienhof and were completely satisfied. Service was nice and attentive. The food was very tasty. If we didn't live so far away (200 km), we would come to the Kastanienhof more often.

We celebrated an 80th birthday with 20 people in the Kastanienhof on Saturday and were totally thrilled. The waitress was assigned just to us, very friendly, always there and always checking to see if we needed anything else. The food was very good and the value for money was simply top. We felt very comfortable!Gladly again!

We were there again todayMy mother-in-law's birthdayCelebrate in the Kastanienhof. We weren't disappointed today either. The food was very tasty and the service was very attentive and friendly. Insanely good food?So, if you only know mashed potatoes from a bag... My dish was carelessly mixed together. Puree from the bag with the consistency of wallpaper glue, the fish on thawed ready-made vegetables.Apart from salad plates and garlic soup, there is no offer for vegetarians.My father was happy with duck breast and dumplings with red cabbage.However, the service was nice and quick for us.
