A bit outdated hotel but clean. Albtherme is easily accessible, but not included (only via Albcard). Breakfast was very good!

We booked 3 nights with half board through TRAVELZOO. The location was important to us because we could leave our dog in Tübingen for the 3 days. So booked something “nearby”.How surprised were we when we saw our room. We were expecting "rustic oak" and ended up with something completely different. A really beautifully designed room. I traveled for Lufthansa for 33 years and have seen many hotel rooms, this one was definitely in the top 5. We only encountered friendly, helpful staff. Class!!! We were also very satisfied with our three 4-course menus. It was always delicious and beautifully prepared. With the Albcard we had access to Lichtenstein Castle (with a guided tour) and the thermal baths directly at the hotel. Apparently you somehow get a VIP pass and free parking in Metzingen with the card, but we couldn't figure out how!! :-(We were completely satisfied and would book the hotel again.

The hotel may have seen its best years visually, but the rooms are extremely clean and spacious. The welcome from Ms. A. Bauer was absolutely warm. The breakfast is great, very large selection and good quality. The only drawback is not enough parking spaces for hotel guests.
