Very simple, but very clean, centrally located within walking distance of the lake and the center... it's a shame that the landlords only give a one-year lease... otherwise the tenant could carry out a basic renovation...

Hello everyone, I would first like to thank the nice woman with glasses and short brown hair. They were very nice and were able to help us with any concerns. We couldn't have imagined better accommodation. The prices for an overnight stay were reasonable and cheap. We really enjoyed our time and recommend this accommodation

Room clean, bed linen and towels clean, freshly laundered. Facility at the simplest hostel level. Bathrooms quite clean (shared bathrooms) but silicone joints partly foggy. Stairs very steep, not for people with walking difficulties.Quite an old building that is partly in need of renovation. OK for one night in transit, but I wouldn't spend my vacation here. We can't say anything about the friendliness/service because we didn't meet anyone. The key was hanging on the pin board and we pinned it there again when we left. Nice central location near the old town.

Definitely not again!!!All hosts - from the caretaker Georg, to whom we would like to express our special thanks, to the waitress at the breakfast table, were very friendly and accommodating. It was almost a family atmosphere, which we really liked.The rooms were quite simply furnished and yet quite clean. What can't be said about the toilets and showers. Completely worn out. It's certainly no surprise when there is only one toilet and shower for more than 15 guests per floor. We had two rooms with four beds each for one night and - despite having booked 9 months in advance - we paid EUR 242 without breakfast. The beds weren't made either - we had to do it ourselves.All in all, far too expensive for the more than simple and dingy standard.

Overall it's ok, it's in a good location near the lake, the rooms were clean and ok. But the bed is hard as stone and the house here is very rotten, there is a puddle in the beard that cannot be removed, when you step in you notice how the ground underneath you has already softened and is giving way, I have the feeling that if this continues Soon a big hole will appear, although something like that shouldn't be in a beard,I think the only thing that makes it attractive is the location.LG

If it's up to me and my partner, it doesn't deserve any stars.The room was a mess, there were spiders in the corners, small creatures, dusty - just dirty... the shared bathroom smelled... the pictures on the internet were very appealing, so we booked one night, but what awaited us was a bitter disappointment .Were not really greeted friendly by the staff. The walls of the room are paper thin and you can hear every single sound.Once and never again!!!!It's not family friendly either

To be honest, I wouldn't even give this hotel one star. It was the worst hotel experience I've ever had, and I do not recommend it for the following reasons:First, before my arrival, I saw on Airbnb that check-in was required before 11:00 PM. My train was scheduled to arrive after 11:00 PM, so I messaged the hotel to inform them of this situation. They did not respond to my messages. When I arrived, there was no one at the hotel, and there were no instructions regarding the location of the key. I made several phone calls, but no one answered. The number provided was supposed to be for emergencies, yet no one picked up. I thought I had been stood up, so I had to find another hotel to stay in. The next day, I arrived before the check-in time to wait for them to open. When the staff arrived, they finally informed me of the key's location. I was dumbfounded.Second, upon check-in, each guest receives an envelope with a key and their room number written on it. Not every envelope has a bed number written on it, which is one of the issues. Some guests have their bed numbers written, while others do not. Those without bed numbers can freely choose their beds, which logically makes sense. I was one of those without a bed number, so I chose a bed I liked. However, when I went to shower, someone took my bed and threw all my belongings to the side, placing their own items on the bed. I informed them that I had chosen the bed first, but they rudely told me that I was occupying their bed. He showed me an envelope with my bed number written on it, which made me extremely frustrated. If the landlord is going to write bed numbers, they should write them for everyone. Why do some people have bed numbers while others don't? Is it to make people fight? Ultimately, because the person refused to give me the bed back, I had no choice but to sleep in the last available bed.These are the two main reasons why I do not recommend this hotel.

Very basic accommodation. Walls are very thin so you can understand every word. We had actually booked for 2 next nights but only stayed for one night because we didn't think it was great at all. It is not recommended!!!

First of all: The location directly on the island of Lindau is fantastic and, in my opinion, a very fair price. If you want to experience a real backpacker atmosphere, this is the right place for you.I have never experienced such a trusting and uncomplicated way of checking in from the operators, even though I arrived late in the evening without booking in advance, the hostel owners themselves were not on site and the process was completely handled by telephone.As a bicycle traveler, I was very happy about the opportunity to park my bike in the bike shed. The rooms themselves, like the entire building, are simple, but offer everything you need for a comfortable overnight stay. The cleanliness of the rooms, as well as the shared showers and toilets, should be emphasized. The lounge and breakfast room is the welcome addition you would hope for in a backpacker hostel, allowing you to get to know other roommates in a nice atmosphere.The highlight of the accommodation is the operators themselves, Frank and Elke, as well as their extremely friendly staff. Mutual trust, friendliness, social commitment and lived values are very important here.So if you don't value luxury hotel comfort, are satisfied with good but simple quality, want to get a taste of the real travel atmosphere, want to use the central location to explore the city late into the night and want to meet nice people, this is the right place for you.

I am very disappointed with this accommodation. We originally booked a 4 bed room. However, our group had grown and we booked an extra bed over the phone. In the phone call we were assured that the extra bed had been added to the booking.After a long car ride we were welcomed by a private party company. We were told that we simply had to look for the key in an envelope with our name on it and that the reception was unmanned.However, there was no extra bed in our room. There was no one to reach by phone and certainly not on site.The three of us then slept on two mattresses on the floor.An outrage!The next morning we wanted to complain. The lady at the reception looked at us very surprised when we tried to talk to her. She apologized with very little understanding. But there wasn't anything more.I absolutely cannot recommend this accommodation! It is absolutely impossible to reach anyone by phone if the reception is unmanned!!!!

We have been there before, except that the stairs were narrow and the breakfast, which was declared as a buffet, was small, everything was fine. We wanted to go again this year, but due to the current storm situation I canceled the booking. What followed were WhatsApp voice messages recorded several times, which were then immediately deleted, and a comment about the "dubious justification" of the weather for my statement. In an effort to remain friendly, I pointed out the weather forecast...need more to say? Should there be an answer from the provider under my review in the near future: Don't you currently use Google?
