All in all a totally successful and relaxing stay at the Wikinger Hotel. Here the guest feels that the house is family-run and that the staff is “green” and has fun at work. Great courteous service, very good cuisine, nice spacious room, super close to the sea/beach. Perfect for a holiday with our two dogs, Flake and Rüpel, who, like us, felt more than welcome and comfortable. There are two small recommendations: At breakfast every now and then - it doesn't have to be every day - a fish platter with the sausage and cheese variations would be nice and, as part of the half-board option, a vegetarian alternative would be desirable when choosing a dish. It wasn't the last time we were here and we'll definitely be back soon. Thank you very much and keep it up!!!

The hotel is already getting a bit old. Had a room on the 1st floor. The rooms are very noisy. You could hear every word from the next room and whether someone opened and closed the shower cubicle above you in the bathroom. The furniture is getting old and the carpeting has also had its best time. The room faced the large parking lot. This is permanently lit at night and it was not possible to completely darken the room. Since the curtains only went just below the window sill, light always shined in.The breakfast was OK. However, I have to say I would have liked a slightly larger selection. Dinner was also OK. However, you don't have to drown every meal in cream sauce. The desserts were rarely refilled, so you had to arrive early to get some more. I think the price of €29.90 for the buffet is relatively high, as is €5.80 for a 0.4l beer. When we asked the service staff about the drinks menu, we were told that there was none. So we had to trust the prices for the drinks. I personally find it a bit strange. The bowling alley is also getting old and the space doesn't invite you to spend an evening there.Only the beach location is convincing.

Super nice staff and accommodating. We felt very comfortable. The room was very clean and the breakfast was rich and varied. We had a 5 minute walk to the dog beach. The location is great because it is very quiet and you can really forget about everyday life and switch off. We'll definitely be back.

The hotel is advertised on booking.com with things that no longer exist:There was no table tennis table. There was also no additional discount for the thermal baths. The sad thing about it: it was known that the information was still incorrect online. The breakfast, which was supposed to be so good according to many reviews, was unfortunately disappointing and rather below average for the size of the hotel. The quality of the (baked) goods offered (cheap baked rolls & only one (multivitamin) juice) at the breakfast buffet was rather low. The good reviews probably come from the Corona period, as we found out locally from regular guests who are now also rather disappointed. There is neither a refrigerator in the rooms nor are they air-conditioned in any way.Overall unsuitable for vegetarians and vegans.
