The Igelwirt is a very friendly host who immediately makes you feel at home. If I hadn't been passing through, he would have even gotten me a motorcycle gide. The overnight stay and especially the food were 1a with 6 stars

We were once again able to spend the long weekend (October 3rd - 6th, 2024) with the hedgehog. It was fantastic again, everything was perfect again...we would love to come back.

A cozy mountain hotel. Great location to relax. The parking lot is a bit small, but you can fit in there. There is a restaurant in the hotel, it is better to reserve an hour, even though you are a guest. To sum up, I recommend it

We were there for dinner.The carp fillets tasted wonderful.Really great.Because the restaurant was extremely busy, we had to wait a while to place our order.It also took a little longer for the food to arrive.But you can get over this.Nice view from the restaurant.We'd love to come back.

We went for dinner on Sunday evening without a reservation. It wasn't a problem, we got a table straight away and the waiter served us straight away. The dishes arrived quickly and were really tasty. Always worth a recommendation.

Just a misunderstanding. I seemed dark and closed when we arrived. The restaurant was closed and no other options nearby. The room was not as described an smaller - "this is the only type er have" was said, but not as the picture on hotels.com. Bed linen was worn and holed. So we canceled the reservation and drove again.

Fine and neat hotel.Super neat and that can be said!We booked a family room and used the hotel as a transit hotel on the way to Austria.We also had dinner there and that was also great, even a nice drawing with pencils for the little ones.The service was very friendly and attentive.The room was excellent and the plumbing impeccable.The good beds contributed to a good night's sleep.The breakfast was very good with sufficient choice and available from 7am.We also visited the ruins above the hotel and it was very nice to look into the valley from there and realize that people have been walking around there for 800+ years.All in all, definitely worth a visit....

One of the few locations in the Nuremberg region where Kaiserschmarrn is served, that alone actually deserves 5 stars. The real distinction is that you get sensationally good, freshly homemade Kaiserschmarrn here. Please keep this on your menu as a unique selling point!!!

Really nice place which is a good distance from Italy. Unfortunately, the staff in the restaurant were less than professional. It seemed like they didn't care to be there. The food was served individually and the ice cream dessert was put on the table before we had finished the main course. It did not give a good impression.

Unfortunately I can't say anything about the overnight stay, but the food is very varied for all types of visitors, whether typically Franconian or vegetarian, whether vegan or just a small snack.Incredibly delicious...... and just enjoy the view on the terrace (with a coffee and cake 😋).🤩When picking up, just bring dishes from home!

A great location in the Nuremberg region. High up in Osternohe you have a magnificent view from the Igelwirt. The restaurant offers many Franconian delicacies.
