You come in and think “Wow, super chic location”. Then you get the menu with an excellent selection, both in terms of food and drinks. The anticipation was great.Unfortunately, the food was ok at best (chicken way too dry, mussels too salty) and the service was actually miserable. Empty glasses at the table and no one comes to ask for 20 minutes, sorry, that's just not possible. The store was half full and there were four young service staff on duty. But if two of them don't work, but sit at a table and play around on their smartphones (and not 1-2 minutes, but 10-20), it simply can't work. There are only 3 stars because of the two Asian employees, who in the end really tried hard and were super friendly. Nevertheless, our first visit there was also our last.

I personally can't say anything about the rooms, as we only visited the “dahoim” restaurant. But if the rooms for guests are only half as tastefully decorated as the restaurant itself, great. The restaurant offers seasonal dishes as well as a fixed menu. The dishes taste excellent. We'd love to come back.Small drawback - the service could have been better. However, I have to say that there was a lot going on today and there could be delays.

We stayed at the hotel three weeks ago to attend a friend's wedding in the next town. When we arrived the reception was not manned by reception staff. The young lady on site dismissed us with “someone is coming soon”. At least we were allowed to listen to/watch rock music on MTV (I didn't know the channel still existed) on the large TV at reception while we waited. When the really extremely friendly receptionist (really only praise here as an exception) came, as we already know from the other comments, we were first charged. The absolute highlight: the room that was initially assigned to us turned out to be unmade. The receptionist immediately moved us to another room. Unfortunately, this was aimed directly at the entrance ramp to the parking garage. Not only did we clearly hear every car arriving and departing, but unfortunately the curtain was also not suitable to completely block out the continuously burning lights. Unfortunately, we only noticed this in the evening when the reception (unlike what you would expect in a 4-star hotel) was no longer occupied. The room was otherwise tidy and appropriate for the price, but in no way 4-star S.The breakfast was really very good for the price. But again: this is not 4-star S. The staff seemed overwhelmed and therefore somewhat unfriendly. What's particularly strange is that there is a wonderful portafilter coffee machine available - but as a layman I can't use it myself. So just the usual coffee from a fully automatic machine. At the end the key was taken away from us by the extremely unfriendly boss (?). No “did you have a nice stay?”, no “was everything okay?”.You won't find anything about the sauna, which is often touted in the comments, on the homepage and it won't be mentioned in the hotel either. Also strange for a 4-star S/Romantic hotel. Admittedly, due to the limited time on site, we didn't ask about it.Finally, a small note about the homepage: it may be historically correct that a person whose name led to the review being blocked also spent the night there. It still leaves a strange feeling to read something like that, especially these days...

Close to Autobahn and plenty of free secure parking. Receptionist could not have been more welcoming and helpful. We had really mixed feelings about the room -one of the Adelszimmers. The room was large with a high ceiling and was spotless. The bed was comfortable and we got a good night’s sleep. Bathroom was modern. Need to be familiar with person staying with as shower and sink area are not private. The mixed feelings were due to room having no personal touches. Whilst there was a kettle there were no cups and only two tea bags. As this was an upgrade would have expected dressing gowns. There were no pictures. There was no bedside table on one side of bed- this was no doubt because door to adjoining room.Evening meal was excellent. Can recommend the Schwabteller and the local beer. Good service.Breakfast was average.Clean, comfortable hotel at a reason a reasonable price. Room needs some attention however.

I can only rate the restaurant I had some hopes for. Unfortunately not as good as expected, just 4 points overall. Service was friendly and helpful, the food was okay. Note the “bread basket”.

We chose the Adelszimmer for an overnight stay because we were usually satisfied with romantic hotels. The first impression was quite positive: the underground car park, entrance, reception and view of the guest rooms including the inner courtyard were pleasing, as was the reception. Everything beautifully renovated and styled. The room was on the 1st floor facing the street and therefore relatively loud. Curtains cannot be closed completely. Hardly any storage for clothing, just a 1-door closet with 3 hangers. Inside there is a safe at knee height, which basically pops open and opens the cupboard door. Washbasin and shower are integrated into the room, separate toilet with small. Bathroom sink. The room is stylish in terms of colors and furnishings, but there are no hanging hooks for towels (except in the toilet, where there are no towels). The cosmetic mirror that was once on the wall is lying in pieces in the base cabinet. The water in the sink didn't drain well. You also have to wait a long time for warm or even hot water. When we complained, we were told that everything was working. Exactly not.By the way, the mirror and the gold plates attached next to it need to be cleaned. It's just a nice appearance and nothing practical for the guests! However, the visit to the inn was positive: good food and a fantastic tiramisu sweetened our short stay.
